When we get our pre-order CDs, are we supposed to use the register expansion function with the number on the cd case? or wait til we recieve the retail CD and use register expansion then?
i've already used the pre-order CDs for the JTL beta. Just wanted to make sure i'm not missing a step.
Thanks

You're supposed to read the instructions in the CD and do what they say.

I had the same question pretty much I just got an invite from SOE with a keycode but EB just told me their getting the CD tonight or tomorrow morning for BETA. I already registered the SOE invite like 10 minutes ago. I guess all i'll have to do is do the beta disk and it will work fine? I can do both..?

Realy helpful there, your kungfu is strong. So, for anyone else, are we supposed to use the CDkey from the pre-order diskin the "Register Expansion" section of the launcher?

yeah, you go to the same place you registered the emailed key and register the one on the CD, it'll take both

I just told you. - Here, i'll spell it out in more excruciating detail so as to not confuse you this time:
When you get the pre-order disc, there are instructions inside the jewel case.
Said instructions direct you to a jtlpreorder url which will allow you to register your preorder disc, thus qualifying you for the flash speeder on live.
After the expansion is released, you will get a boxed edition of JTL shipped to you the same way the preorder disc was shipped. It too will contain instructions on how to install and register it.
The instructions that come with JTL will tell you to use the register expansion button to activate JTL.
So, to register the preorder disc:
Yo're supposed to read the instructions in the CD and do what they say. Is it really that hard to read the instructions?

Look on the inside of the CD case. There are two steps listed. If you haven't been invited to the Beta then follow both steps.
If you have already been in Beta just do the first step. FYI the link in the case is wrong. The correct URL is http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/jtlpreorder
Follow the instructions to get the Flash Speeder. You won't get the Flash Speeder until after you purchase the full expansion and register the key that comes with the full expansion.

Thank you for posting that link, Rick-James!! I was having the same confusion. I'm sitting here at work, reading these posts about having to enter a pre-order key wondering to myself if I ever did that when I went through the motions last night. I think the confusion for me was the fact they were combining the concept of beta with the concept of pre-order. When I got to the step where it said I was to be on the look-out for a beta registration e-mail, I thought I had to wait for that beta e-mail to get a code. I didn't click on the big button at the bottom that says "REGISTER YOUR ACCOUNT KEY". So, get on from work today thanks to your helpful link (which I could not remember for the life of me), call the wife at home who read the code of the CD, and now I'm golden.
Thanks again.

I just wanted to clear up something, still a little confused. I pre-ordered & have the pre-order cd and beta installed. I regiestered the key and am able to get the naboo speeder in beta (I understand that I cannot get it in live til JTL is in live). Only question I have is do I need to wait to get the retail JTL cd in order to have JTL registered? The reason I'm asking is becase the Shipwright trainer is in live now and when I talk to her she says "You need to have JTL registered" or something similar. So in order for me to train shipwright (yes I have the skill pre-req's) I need to wait for EB games to mail me another cd (the retail copy) or should the code I registered from the beta installer cd work?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
