No. they have missions where you actually dock to a ship. It's a little tough getting out of the seat, since you need the jaws of life to get the seat belt buckle to open. That's why you have to land at starports, too.

i would really like to see this happen. we have the macro to dock so early on but we cant use it..or maybe we can only use it for the space station..i dont know..i would just like to be able to let passerbys who feel like making a pit stop, climb aboard..
i had so many opportunites just tonight and it would have been so fun.
it could open to a flying shop...good for smugglers, who are into RP. (we can be like, "yeah, its illegal to sell certain items planetside but not in my sky. climb aboard and we can do some business)....ship components...parties...whatever...
good idea, no?

sounds good, I would like to be able to disable NPC ships and dock with them like darth vader did in the very first scene of star wars, maybe they could add missions like "disable rebel ship, dock with it and capture a rebel leader" or steal supplys from a privateer, or stop a smuggler who stole imperial technology, retrieve the technology.

You can dock with random frieghters too. Dont need a mission, just disable their engines and dock.
