I think I found the culprit to the sudden framerate problem everyone's having.. it happens on ground as well as in space and I tested it to see if it was the cause..

the problem I'm describing is where when you're doing specials, or if someone else is doing specials, your graphics stutter majorly as if you're taking alot of screenshots at a time..

I discovered this by accident while in space, where when I fire on a TIE, my pc acts up every shot I make.. I looked into system message chat window and found myself spammed with "your weapon is disabled".. when I regrouped my weapons and removed the disabled weapon, my game was as smooth as before..

To see if my theory held on the ground, I went to dance and I performed flourishes, so I would get the usual entertainer spams of performed flourishes, dancing xp, and entertainer healing xp.. sure enough, my graphics stuttered majorly then too..

it appears to be a text related glitch with the game.. and I don't know how to fix this because I don't know why it's doing that.. It -has- to be a JTL related bug because this has never happened before installing the expansion pack. I have no anti-virus running (nor installed as I always scan with housecall.trendmicro.com), and my XP firewall is disabled, and no, I am not using a router, but a workgroup switch.

My computer is a 3200+ AthlonXP Barton on an nForce2 Ultra400 board (ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe) with 1.5gb Mushkin Enhanced DDR400 rams, and a GeForceFX 5600 Ultra 256mb video.. so, obviously system requirement is not an issue either..

If anyone can figure out how to get around the text-spamming glitch in this game, I would forever be your slave =P

I'm willing to go as far as to bet that this is everyone else's problem too..

to the tech support people.. do NOT dare tell me to disable FSAA (I'm running 2xQ FSAA) to remove smooth texts as I will not tolerate jagged games because of SOE's glitch.. this game is rendered so beautifully and has been for so long, that I will not revert back to playing an eyesore ever again.. but rather get your developers to fix this
