It probably is. I have 512mb of RAM
However: There should be an option to turn those .wav files off. All they are is gibberish anyway.

I have 7 hundred something ram. Plenty to run SWG.
Wouldn't really call that plenty. yea the game runs but its going to have chop. like when you go into a cantina or move accross a zone, you get some chop. I had 768 and when i went into citys it would chug, after getting a 2GB ofRAM its like night and day. RAM is very important in this game.

I agree, I have a 1GB of dual channel DDR ram and a BFGTech nVidia 5700le OC... I don't experience the pause. Remember, SWG uses 75% of your total physical ram leaving the rest for everything else. A fast hard drive helps too...I have a 10, 000 RPM drive and my load times are very short. Also, check your SWG video settings to see if you have things turned up too high. Forget about trying to use shadows and pixel shading unless you have a high-end card like a 5950 Ultra or a 6800 Ultra...not sure what the high-end is on the ATI cards. I have my 5700LE overclocked to a core clock of 450MHZ and amemory clock of 502 MHz and I still can't use shadows or pixel shading without my game running at about 7 FPS. Without shadows or pixel shading, my game constantly runs at or around 30 FPS (the max for SWG) and my ping is around 150.

I only have problems with that idiotic pilot chatter on Bria. It's nice and smooth on Starsider.
But yeah, why are my enemies talking to me anyway? And why is everything they say so corny and stupid? Come on now. Cut the chatter.

I agree, last night I was finishing up imperialtier 3 mission 3 for Black epsilion. As i was about to destroy the Rebel Emissary, I had like 5 ships trying to talk at once, then they all froze. After 2 or so minutes, they started to move all over the place, going to the left of the screen then right. Then 30 seconds after that, I lost all my shields no rear armor and had most of my systems disabled. Lol talk about frustrating. Make it toggleable or something,Icould care less about what they say.

Yeah, I would like to turn it off, even on the smooth server where I get no problems. I seriously hate it now. I find myself sitting there and yelling at the screen for them to shut the hell up all the time. They open a channel to utter "Gah!" over the comm... Why?! It's silly.

LOL Thats another thing. If the devs wanted to provide an effective communication between npc/player ships, they could at least make the messages better. Seeing a disabled z95 utter "Your not bad, but im BETTER!" is just plain stupid, or see a tier 2 x wing nick my 1300 shields and say "GOT YOU HA HA!" makes me laugh lol

Anyone else notice this:
When an enemy decides to Jabber at you while yer gunning him down the graphics sort of pause for a moment then jump back to where they should be, normally resulting in the enemy ship being out of your sights.
Not a huge big deal but this is REALLY annoying. I'm using a GeForce 5700 with 256mb of RAM there's NO reason why that little graphic popping up should be causing a delay.
Either nuke the window, I realy could care less if they want to talk to me, or get rid of the pause when it appears.
