Mission from Captain Denner, Imperial outpost on Yavin, tier 3 mission set 2. Sent to endor (closest to sector d-435 or whatever I believe) to inspect and dock a Rebel Advanced Recon Fighter (tier 3) guarded by 3 Rebel X-Wings (tier 4). Usually I can beat this part, and thats when the problems start. 5 Rebel A-Wings (tier 3) warp in and I am required to take them out. Now, this isnt THAT hard, I can usually do it, but it seems that by the time I am killing the 4th or 5th A-Wing a bunch of tier 4 and tier 5 rebel fighters come in and blast at me from a static spawn that is 1500m away from the mission wp.
I've tried a LOT of scenarios, and died all 9 times. 3 times I have failed with 4-5 people in my group as well. From what I hear, lots of people are stuck on the mission before me, I guess I got lucky. I also hear a TON of people are stuck on my mission. Anyone that has passed it, got any tips or suggestions?

Seems to me that the Storm Squadron missions, while cool, are also among the hardest....

ya i have the same kinda prob, best thing to do is just hyperspace out right away but they really need to move all missions spawns 6k at least away from any static spawns

You need at least 6 people your first time to do it right. Just stay near the ship and make sure you've got some good engines. It takes practice.

Well after a day of training with my buds (flying skill wise and such) we tackled all of Captain Denners missions. We ran through each mission 3 times (1 per person) and got them all done in about 6 hours. Since I wasted a day on that guy, I was capped at 1 million xp and now sit in my TIE Advanced.
The best advice to do these mission is not to even bother doing it solo, you will waste your time. You need a few friends. I did it with 2 others and we were blowing through the missions no problem.

11 tries... 11 failures. Boy oh boy, either my skills arent what they should be or SOE really wanted us to work hard.... REALLY HARD.
Im thinking its both. Now, I realize I sound like I am whining. This isnt the truth. I am enjoying the difficulty. I am the kind of gamer that attempted Doom 3 on nightmare mode (and made it half through before I went insane), I enjoy challenges. This challenge, however, is very time consuming

Oh this sounds so much fun
I got enough xp out of doing the first mssion that when I finaly completed it I had enough xp for the next box .
this next one sounds fun.
However since all my guildies live in the uk it will be a while before I have enough people to group with to do this.
Anyone play on starsider ?
