Thread: Finding friends and freighters

I have one real frustration when doing escourt quests.

I'll be fighting an enemy when I get a message from the freighter, telling me I am too far away.

So, I turn to close things up, only to see two, identical freighters! Which one is mine?

Is there a way to clearly identify/target your specific mission related freighter?

Gee. I was surprised to find no answer when I returned. Even a "Heck no!" would be appreciated.

Is there a way to clearly identify/target/track your specific mission related freighter? Finding out that you escorted the wrong freighter is rathter frustrating. Being able to throw a waypoint on your own, personal freighter would be ideal.

If the other freighter is notspawned by another's mission but is just out there, you can shoot it without hearing the loud beep sound, your freighter once allied with you will beep.

I do think it would be good for devs to allow you to /comm any ship, and if it is your mission's ship have it say something mission relevant, that distinguishes it from the other ships. I never tried though - maybe they did this already.

Excellent idea. I will also try that the next time I take an escort mission.

Agree with you there. That can be frustrating. I don't know of any way to do so. Some of the quests use a waypoint dropper on the freighter that dropsa wp about every 20 seconds or so. Some of them don't. The ones that don't can get a little frustrating if there are multiple missions of the same type going on.
