What exactly is the new Imperial ship that was added with RotW besied that red chasis Guard TIE Interceptor?
I've seen external game site references to "modified" TIE Advanced and in the forums references to a "heavy TIE".
Can someone point me to a link with stats on either? I'd like to learn details.

Check the FAQ in the pilot section for stats on the Heavy TIE. It's a nice ship.
As to the "Modified TIE Advanced", there isn't such a thing. There's just a normal TIE Advanced with little winglet thingies added. The effect is purely visual. Same chassis/deed, same stats, just some silly extra thingies on your wings. They also have them for Z95s and X-wings, if memory serves.

I love my Heavy TIE, it is without a doubt my favorite Imperial ship. I never thought anything would get me out of my Oppressor, but this thing just rocks, it is crazy fast, turns on a dime and is 100% cannon visually. The only downside is only one weapon slot, but I could never run 2 level 9 guns in my oppressor, so the singe 9 I have in my Heavy TIE outdamages the two 7's. If I remeber right I have mine loaded with level 9 gun, shield and engine, a prenerf DI (400 mass 13.1 speed, lol) a reactor that is just enough to power it all, a half decent but light capacitor, and no armor. Leaves me like 200 mass, and it is just deadly! I run WO3, RO3, and CO3, cruise at almost 1200 unboosted, and can take down things faster than the (what now feels like a) bloated cow oppressor ever could =)

I just got my Heavy Tie yesterday, I love it. I'm using an unmodifed loot engine and EO2 and I'm getting 908. Can't wait till I get home tonight so I can see what she'll do with an RE'd engine and EO3.
95k Mass goes a long way.
