i was wondering why the cockpit gauges don't work. in every flight/space sim i have ever played the internal gauges all worked. in my experience all flight sim nuts fly from the cockpit. would be great if we could get that clutter of a HUD off the screen and actually fly from the cockpit. the artwork is great. we should put it to use.

Sadly, JTL isn't really true sim. It leans more on to being arcade game with *some* sim infuence.

Being a pilot in RL, I agree being able to fly inside the cockpit with instruments would add depth the the JTL platform. Although I don't see this happening in the near future (or at all)... /sign

If it was between accurate instruments in the cockpit or performance, I'd have to go with performance. My guess is if they tried to implement this, people would start crashing into space stations left and right.

Id be happy if I just could see my avatars hands on the flight stick. I dont like looking around the cockpit and seeing im not really there =(

Try and dogfight with a Rihk with Cockpit frame on. It's hellish.

The clutter on some of the cockpits is insane. Thr Rihk obscures about 2/3 of the screen, and it dosen't help that you can see the sides at the front of your ships, and the Triple White Blast blinds you temporarily.

What were they thinking ?

i turn cockpit frame off and fly like that, course one time I had a blind gun so had to zoom out
