I spend some free time every other night or so in Deep Space, but I almost never see any players... at least none of the opposite faction

There is a damage reduction in PvP but I do not know by how much nor anything else regarding that. The only actual experience I have in space PvP was shooting down a few Tier4 players in Kessel, 3 in total I think, and some friendly PvP against a guildie. But on the same note, that was a few months back.

For the most part, there is an overwhelming rebel presence in DS. I myself am about to jump sides and go IMP so I can have a little variety in my kills.
The problem as I see it is that on my server the Imperials dont want to work together. They constantly get ganked.

Well you won't find fleets of each faction flying around in space overt if thats what you mean. I am always overt is space and very seldom do I see a rebel. When I do, yes they die in 2 or 3 shots.

Since I just logged out I'll let you know about space PvP currently. Tonight, at least, there was a severe bug. Like the one poster asked if it was whoever shoots first wins... yeah, at the moment. PvP damage reduction is NOT working in space right now. You take full damage from weapons. This means if you have 1500 point shields, and someone hits you with a 2800 point weapon, you're pretty much dead in 2-3 shots.
Just a little warning. Normally though it's a lot of fun on Ahazi. Many people fly around declared and participate.
