I was a 3,3,3,2 imperial pilot then i resigned from beaing an imperial. Now i have a -43678 starship combat xp. is there a way to get that fixed with out having to regrind back to just a plain 1,0,0,0 privateer? I will hate having to kill things for a max xp of 100 till i can train in at least 1,0,0,0.....

Same thing happened to me, -47500xp. I opened a tkt a few days ago and still no response, it takes for ever in your newbie ship killing things for 90-120xp to get ahead. Im waiting for them to respond to my tkt by saying were sorry but there is nothing we can do for you.

Ask somebody for help on your server, and fly gunner for them. I think what happened is you lost all XP while under an inspiration buff, so lost an extra 10%.

I'm pretty sure it is an unintended side effect of Inspiration buffs that the 10% kicks in when you lose xp, too, so when you drop pilot while Inspired you lose 110% of your xp and prestige points rather than 100%. I understand CSRs will reset your xp to zero, though, so try opening a ticket and see if that helps.

The CSR that responded to my tkt said sorry for you luck. It took 3 days of messing around but Im out of xp debt now anyways

My character recently left the rebellion and joined the Empire, when I did so, my XP as an Imperial Pilot is now in the negative, something like -7000. Any idea how this happened.
What I did was, recieved enough Faction to join the Empire, went to the Rebel Recruiter, told them I wanted to leave the Rebellion, 5 min later, I was a civilian, and then lost X XP (don't remember what it was), now I go the Empire, join them, go to Kaadara to become a pilot there, and when I was up in space I checked my XP, and noticed I was in the hole 7000 XP.

You had an Entertainer Inspiration buff going. The 10% bonus counts toward lost XP, too.

if you quit a pilot prof while inspired this happens. you're lucky you only have 7000 to grind out, some people have WAY more then that. take this example.
If you have 7500000 pilot exp (thats the cap at master. some people grind all that out for fun before they master) and you quit then normally you lose 100% of your exp so
7500000-100%=0
IF you are insipred you lose 110%
So 7500000-110%=-750000
So i'll say it again. you are lucky you didn't wait longer to drop pilot. this is a game breaking bug

woah
im planning on leaving imp for freelancer , so once i leave will i be in the hole xp-wise?
or is that only with the insp buff on?

Only with the buff on. So just make sure you avoid any cantinas for about 3 hours before you plan to drop your profession.
