Thread: how come my Y-wing is way slower than my z-95 starter ship??

is it the looted parts i put in it? and whats with the mass of the ship being 14k out of 140k stats,i dont understand how to effect the stats and if this is the reason its slow(y-wing)

it depends on your engine... the y-wing has more mass and needs more power to get some nice speed.
Look for a better engine.

Y-wing is a bomber class(or whatever they call them) so the speed and maneverabilty takes a hit when you put engines in, so if you want a fast Y-wing, youll need a pretty fast engine in it

the fact is, y-wings are meant to be slower and less maneuverable than z-95's but they are stronger and better armed. The y-wing was the workhorse of the rebellion until the b-wing came out. they aren't quick, they aren't pretty, but they'll take a pounding and bring the pilot back alive

With the same engine the z95 will be much faster and much more nimble. The Y Wing is a boat but it can hold a TON of upgrades. The z95 cant afford to get hit because it can't mount enough defenses. The Y wing is designed to take a beating and hold some huge weapons.
