Thread: JTL Joystick Axes counterintuative?

My complements to the developers for the great addition they have produced for Star Wars Galaxy. I am happy with what Jump to Light Speed is. I do have one question regarding the choice of Joystick Axes implemented.

I may be wrong and I hope I am but the Y-axis and Z-axis when using a Joystick in JTL seem to be counterintuitive to me. Having a background as a pilot and I am sure may who are not would agree based on their experience with flight simulations that there should be a way to swap these axes.

Normally when a Y-axis input is put into a flight control it induces a rotation about the longitudinal axis of a vehicle. (Roll)

Normally when a Z-axis input is put into a flight control it induces a rotation about vertical axis of a vehicle. (Yaw)

In JTL I have seen a Y-axis input induce Yaw and the Z-axis input induce Roll.

Can this be changed or is it selectable?

Cheers,
Cicero
