Well I have now attempted to do this mission hmmm 7 times and I continue to get destroyed by the Tier 4 Pirates near the last part of the quest. I even tried flying around by like 4000 meters to get to the damaged Imperial Cargo Ship... but as soon as I docked they came outta nowhere and blew me to smitherings. I've been capped at 200k experiance for the past 3 times I've attempted this mission and that damn Captain Denner doesn't allow you to train till after the mission I assume. I am about to explode and smash my copy of JTL. I suppose I could try to find some people to help me.... unfortunately I am not in a guild and don't know anyone else who is in Storm Squadron. Perhaps my rebel buddy can help me? SOE FIX THIS!!! Don't make people do 4 damn missions in a row and if they die once have to start completely over... thats just simply ridiculous!

There are two things you can do here...

1) Get someone to help. You mentioned you don't know anyone, but a good place to meet people is to camp Capt Denner and eventually someone will come by and be willing to help you.

2) Buy time from the pirates. If you disable all the pirates (don't destroy them) they'll float around in space for some time before exploding on their own. Random mobs don't repawn until they're destroyed so this will buy you plenty of time to get past them and dock with your shuttle.

Hope this helps,

Also, Tier 3 doesn't require XP.

Im a rebel pilot and have no experice with your mission. BUT, I can tell you your gonna need help and i feel your pain. I have been stuck on the Tier 3 rebel mission for 4 days and im capped at 1,000,000 XP

You need buddys to go with to to complete some of the higer up missions. If not your gonna get frustrated.

I dont see how as soon as you hit 2K past your WP of the mission it fails. At least that is what it does for me.

I don't think the mission is broke, per say, ridiculouly hard, yes.

You'll definatly have a easier time with a few buddies, if your getting mauled, hyperspace back to the space station (d-354 or something like that). I passed it last night with some help from two friends, one of which was 1111, and it made a load of differance......going back up tonight, to him them pass it......

There are a few things to keep in mind when hyperspacing...

1. Before you start a mission hypering all over the place is fine
2. If the mission is non-escort, hypering all over the sector is fine
3. If the mission is escort, you CANNOT get more than 2 km away from the escort or you will fail
4. hypering out of a system during a mission will cause you to fail

You're hitting #3. Escort missions require that you stay within a certain distance of the ship.

This is only in effect once the mission starts though. It's safe to enter the system then hyper to a closer point before you meet up with the ship you're supposed to escort. Once you meet it, though, you're stuck there.

Weird, I don't think I've ever done a survive mission so don't think I can help you there.

All my missions are composed of the following:

A) blow X stuff up
B) don't let X get blown up
