Hey guys, just wanted your insight with this.

Im Imperial on the ground but decided to try for Freelancer in Space. I started from the trainer in Tatooine (Mos Eisley)., and ended up at Dathomir.

I was told that you should get an option to either go Imperial or Rebel for teh 30 ships in Kessel and Corvette mission. But I am not given an option by the trainer in Dathomir. He send me straight to A Rebel Admiral in Coronet for the 30 ships destroy mission in Kessel. I was wondering if this was sort of a bug since I was not given an option to choose a side. Or if anyone started their Privateer mission the same way and also didnt get an option.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not entirely certain, since I'm Storm Squadron and haven't done freelancer. However, I'm pretty certain someone told me that one of the freelancer squadrons leaned more towards imperials, and one more towards rebels. Maybe that's the case, there's a third one that asks you, and you ended up joining the rebel-sympathizing one? Eh? Traitor ?

Made it before all hell broke loose.

If you wanna favor the imperials as a neutral pilot, you need to be RSF. The Smugglers wont do the trick. unfortunatly that means you`ll haveto regrind your pilot entirely...

RSF For neutrals starts on talus i think. not entirely sure, since i am Smuggler in space and on the ground

If I were you, I'd get a rebel pilot in your group, go to Kessel, and let them kill the 30 ships and vette necessary. You only need to be grouped with someone for the kills to count towards your mission. You should probably land the finishing shot on the vette's bridge, just to make sure you get the credit for it, but the fighters can be finished entirely by another pilot.

It's the neutral CorSec faction that gives you the choice of Rebel or Imperial Corvette.
