I would love to see the planetary control system be implemented in space, too. It would be cool to seeblockades andthe ability to call down shuttles ofNPC troops in PvP battles on the ground or something. Might be interesting to see what would happen if one faction controlled a planet, but another controlled the space above it.


Anyway, there's too many ideas to count, lol. The dockable faction-stations you talk about could be captured by having a POB ship eject a group of Special Forces players into it, clearing it of any overt PCs/NPCs, and overriding a computer in the command bridge or something. Then big capital ships could blockade the planet and there'd be tons of new rebel/imp spawns running around, as well as giving Colonels on the ground the ability to call for air support.


Yea.. too many ideas. First thing I'd like to see is a way to dock with faction/neutral stations and walk around, complete with cantinas, med centers, maybe some mission-giving NPCs, and so on. Asa pilot, sometimes I feel belittled for touching the ground, lol.


Everyone seems to universally agreethatenterable space stations would be great. In fact, the day I got JTLone of the first things I did was try to /dock with the space station, lol. So I think we'll get them someday too, and atthe very least, it only seems logical that they would extend the planetary-control system to space, but ya never know with the devs.

Allot fo people want to have player space staions that will act as guild halls but I think for now we should just be able to walk around and interact with what is already in place.


For example....

Make the planet space staions, Imp and reb stations dockable and make them like smaller versions of NPC cities inside. You could have cantinas, med centers, ID shops, quest givers, faction recruiters, and so on. maybe even tie in some ground quests with NPCs on the space stations.


And to add a bit of content for our smugglers and freelance pilots out there, make them the only ones who can get opposing faction members onto enemy stations. You could load up a crew of rebs onto a YT and dock with an Imp space station to "offload" some supplies. Make it a mini game for the smuggler/freelance pilot with a success/fail rate that would reflect weather your sliced clearance codes worked or not. If you're able to fool the controlers then you dock with the station, unload your troops, and away they go to farm some nice NPC FP or get into it with some overt players. If not then a few squadrons come out to get you. Same with the space station and ISD in deep space.


I know it will be a while before we see this sort of thing but I think we'll get it eventually. There's no reason they can't use the space staion shell they use for the noob intro. We'll see what happens
