i thought a mining ship was including in the ROTW?

They talked about a new POB mining ship (even if all ships could mine) but no more news on it since. 
I really hope it will be available.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for new ships being added, but what about another option in addition to a space mining ship? Couldn't they add a component slot to current MP ships that you could place an "asteroid miner" into that slot and then mine asteroids with the MP ship you already own? Again, I'm all for a space mining ship being added, but with the ship ownership cap STILL at 3, I'd like another option.

Hmm I didn't see much speculation on mining ships. Is there a lack of enthusiasm for space based mining in this forum?

I am expecting the new ships seen in the friday featurette to require minarals only available in space so that players will have to mine things up there to make them. Not sure how they plan to make mining fun... It sure wasn't in eve-online...

all i want, is normal looking inerceptor with about 80k mass. NO I DONT LIKE THE RED ONE!
to me, the Interceptor is the best looking IMP ship around.

there will be new parts that will make any ship a mining ship but they are putting in a new 20 passenger MP ship that "is for mining" in the same way i guess as a YT-1300 is a light cargo ship. granted there is also supposed to be a new mount that they haven't said anything about either, its all a mystery.
