#1- does disarming shot do kd?? and if so does it have a range?


#2- why doesnt pistol defense 2 do kd?


#3- what specials do we have other than body shot3 that do only health dmg?

#1 - Nope.


#2 - Dunno, doubt the devsknow what they want it to do.


#3 - Other than Healthshot2 which is a bleed there is no special besides BodyShot3 that only targets the healthpool.

The others answered your main questions, but in regards to #1....


Disarming Shot used to do KD, but this was a mistake. The only Pistoleer move that is meant to do KD is Pistol Melee Defense (though as we all know PMD 2 doesn't work right). The only things Disarming Shot will do (at least against NPC's I haven't tried agaist a player) is cause your enemy to sometimes put his weapon away and stand there with his fists out ready for melee combat. After a moment (not sure how long exactly) your enemy will put out his blaster again. This won't cause melee combatants to put away their melee weapons though, or at least I haven't gotten it to work against them yet (but it really should dang-it!).

Srry guys - this has probably been posted a million times. Just started tka and was wondering about a couple of things. BTW - i have already read all the stickies and searched.


1) What skill lines would be best to move up first?


2) Is there such a thing as Warcry 2 or Berzerk 2 - cause i dont see it my skills window? Where do you get that ability?


3) What special combo do you guys start off with? Like Warcry ==> Dizzy ==> Knockdown ==> Unarmed hit?


4) Does Body Hit, Action Hit, and Mind Hit work and what type of damage are we talking about? I have heard of some specials not working.


5) If you had the choice to use Muon or Nuetron Pixie before a fight - which would you use and why?


6) What is good damage - that i would expect to see on a pair of Knucks, that i would like to purchase.

1. IMHO, get med 2 first for PB, unless you can easily get buffed, Then, balance1, and all the way up the power tree after that.


2 They are master brawler skills.


3. This is just me, but I usually start off with a stun, just to keep my damage to a minamum. If it is going to be a long fight, always stun. I usually auto attack after that, or use unarmed hit. If the mob is know to run at low health, i use kd at the end to keep them still. Dizzy only works on humanoid npc's, so don't bother to use it on an animal mob.


4. They each hit the respective pool. I don't use them much. I would rather do twice as much damage for half of the ham costs to a random pool, than be slowed down and do half the damage for twice the ham costs, but that is me.


5. Me, I owuld use muon, since I am also master medic. I have my mind pool maxed and my mind sub-stats almost maxed. Remember, your mind is the only pool you can't heal, unless you use someo fthe nes cheff foods such as blue milk which does a 300+ mind heal (publish 6 is going to be good with the new foods! Trust me. )


6. Until you hit power 4, you shold use a speed sliced knuckler, as low as you can get them. At master, a 2.2 speed VK will still hit the cap. My vk, damage sliced is, I *think* 35 - 174 , 2.2 speed? I am also on TC, so the resources may not be as good. Try to find a pair with closer min max and low speed. At power 4 and master, you rarely use the vk's. You can spam more specials without them. You use them for a little more damage or against armored targets.

I am going for this build I saw posted:

And I was wondering, in this build, would my primary damage be from TKA or rifle? And at what point should I start working on rifle?

TKA/Rifleman is quite a good combination. You'll probably deal more damage as TKA, though, since Rifle's not as affective up close and I hear they have problems with hitting anything that actually moves about.

For a good speed-sliced VK you're wanting around 1.8 speed. 2.3 isn't really any better than an unsliced one. The damage stats really mean nothing until you get to Novice Teras Kasi.

I don't use armour myself, too expensive and there's not enough selection for wookiees, but it does reduce your damage by a great amount if you're fighting tougher mobs so you'll be able to take on things that would otherwise wipe their noses with you.

you want your VKs to be about 1.5 to 1.7 when you are below Novice TKA

YES! you will be astounded at the improvement when you become certified for your VKs

you doget unarmedtoughness as you advance through TKA, however notTHAT much in the beginning. ihave full sets of Ubese armor with 75% kenetic resist that i canwearentirely unbuffed. it all depends on if you wantto shop around or not. HOWEVER now that i am aTKM i rarely if ever use any armor at all.

Unarmed XP is not the fastestXP toearn, though i find it the most FUNbyfar. Once you hit Meditation 4 you will never want to drop it. you will gain the ability tostop bleeding,cure poison and disease and evenheal your own wounds.all that on top of Power boost and Force of Will. there is nothing like it in the game.the unamredtoughness will helpwith the long leveling journyyou have ahead of you.

there are long discussions about what mitigations work,which ones don't seem to be working and exactly what they do all over the forums. however i would suggest you start with the FAQ both here and in the Rifleman forum. both places have a great explination.

i will make one last suggestion. when you level TKA take the Balance and Conditioning line LAST. i know it does not sound right, but as you advance through the Balance and Contitioning line, you begin to lose XP per kill. that is to say a creature that gave you 3300 XP at TKA 1011 will give you LESS XP at 1111 TKA.


i would suggest you take the meditation line first, filling in Precision Striking as you earn the Combat XP. then take Power Techniques continuing to fill in Precision Striking and then lastly take Balance and Conditioning. if you feel like you cannot do without the famous Knock Down / Dizzy combination, then take Balance and Conditioning I and leave the rest for last.

Any idea where to get a vibroknuckle that good? The trade board turned up nothing, and TKA I see in game don't know of where I can get one either, and Its not like a have half a mil to spend on one.


And what about weapons when I get to TKA?

Ask around for the best WS on your server. Then get a Master Smuggler, and hope for speed. VibroKnucklers are generally cheap weapons, and average unsliced ones go for about 6k over on Chimaera - 38 - 135 +, and most expensive one I've seen was 25k with enhanced motors.

Of course the economy differes widely from server to server, but you'll hardly need to pay 10k for a average one, I would expect.
