Thread: Accidentally Registering Expansion Account Before October 27th... What Now?

I registered my JTL pre-order account key before I saw the message to not do this until the 27th. Does this also refer to pre-order account keys, or the non-pre-order account keys. I am a bit confused.
Since I have already registered my pre-order account key, does this mean that my key has now become invalid for use once the expansion goes live on October 27th?
Please advise.

They stated to not register your key until the 26th. Just so you know.

I'm wondering the same. I KNOW I read last week a post that included a Dev response saying where to put the expansion registration key. So what do I do when I get it on Friday? I put in the key on Sunday when I play. NOW when I get home on Monday, it says NOT to do that. DUH! A little late don't cha THINK!?!?!?!!??!
How about an SOE response here!?!??!?
Post from Garva on 10/12/04, As far as those that are already in beta -and- pre-ordered, they are/have updated the page and you can now enter the preorder key as well.
So when I got my preorder key, I entered the keyinto the registration. But now you are saying it is invalid!?!?!??
So is this because some people had access to JTL content? And they want to scare people off before the release tomorrow!????

I entered my pre-prder key weeks ago. Hmph. Well, guess I'll puzzle it out when I get home. I hope this isn't really an issue.

The pre-order key is not the problem. It's the actual game box that got shipped a day or two early.
I am sure they will find a way to re-issue you a key if your's got burned but you better have proof of purchase
ready.

OK, so now that JTL is live and I already entered my key, I DO have a problem accessing JTL content. The launchpad is telling me that JTL is NOT ENABLEd... but I registered my key already so when I try to reenter key, what happens? It says, This account key has already been registered... So I am in a dilemma here. Already used key and I cannot access any JTL content in the game... Here is the weird thing though... I got the new flash speeder in my inventory... !!??!!??
What the heck is wrong with this picture... I am only half registered or something... That's the last time I will preorder a game!!!

Ok, I contacted support and figured it out.
Apparently, the Pre-Order wasn't actually a pre-oder at all (in a true sense of the term), but a beta registration and a special in game vehicle. I think this was very misleading as many people thought they were actually "pre-odering" the expansion.... including me! 
So, i got to play the beta for a week or so and have the new flash speeder in the game... but I have to go to the store tomorrow and shell out another $40-$50 to buy the REAL expansion key code....
I am a bit annoyed 
, but I will get over it.... A word of advise for everyone on the forums for future expansions... If they offer a pre-oder, think twice before buying it, cause you're probably only gonna get access to the beta...

actually i did the preorder too and got the beta cd, then this morning got an email with a fedex tracking code for the retail box. no extra money spent, though it is a little annoying that outpost.com had JTL for $20 after paying full price during preorder.

I bought the pre-order from Ebay. The person I bought it from sent me the beta disks and key only. I am requesting from them that they also send me the retail key, so I will have to hope that they honour the sale... I will know tomorrow.. I will post the response then...
If not, I got jipped out of $20 bucks and have to purchase it from the store this time...
