I'd love to know if it's worth getting this branch.
I frankly don't care if my ground vehicles go any faster or steer better...
But it'd be nice if these bonuses affected our ships.
Devs? Anyone?

Nope, it's been said MANY times by the devs that Jedi/FS get ZERO bonuses in space.

Yep, because in their words, this is supposed to be the "twitch" side of the game. Giving advantages to players outside of the Pilot Profession itself would spoil this part of the game.

I mean, if Luke can manage to punch a proton torpedo down a hole without benefit of targeting computers...
Why can't FS-folk enhance their piloting skills by using Vehicle Control?
It seems pretty canon to me.
But maybe I'm wrong...

It does go with continuity but the devs said no to this in beta and don't seem like they will ever change it.

Frankly myself I have to agree with the devs on this one. I don't think people with FS vehicle control should get a bonus to ship handling. As far as I'm concerned there are too damn many Jedi anyways. Worst decision ever made for this game was to allow players to become Jedi. It has totally killed this game, and thrown off the continuity of the time period. As far as I'm concerned you want to be a freaking Jedi go play KOTOR. MORON

I can't say I agree or disagree. But in a twitch game it's hard to give anyone an edge in anything. It's a different system altogether.

They also said MANY times there would NEVER beso many Jedi in this game. Just wait for enuff of the whiny ones to get smacked a few times in space. Excuse me, I didn't derail it. I said that I agreed with the devs on this decision, how is that derailing a thread? I still agree with that decision although I fear if those who are FS and jedi cry enough they'll get their way.
Space is a seperate part of the game, and maybe a place for a jedi to go without having to worry about anybody hunting them down for a while. That means no loss of Jedi XP for spaced based deaths, and no gaining of Jedi XP for spaced based kills.
I'm just tired of always hearing Jedi ask for everything. Sometimes just take what you are given and be happy.
