I was wondering if anyone noticed this. When you do one of the Patrol missions from your trainer, the open ended ones that are designed for xp, that it has 3, or 4 waves of enemys warp in at your waypoint. You then get another waypoint with 3 or 4 more waves. After about 3 or 4 waypoints, you get the message that the "command wing" has been destroyed, some bonus faction, xp,and cash. At this point it give's you yet another waypoint, for the second "command wing' to begin. What I have noticed is the second "command wing" has more fighters per wave, and better ai, and more xp, and cash. It is progressive, it gets harder, but with better rewards. I can take out 3 1/2 "command wing's" solo, and once a wing man and I took out like 5 or 6 "command wing's" and got massive amount of xp and cash. Again I was wondering why lots of people just go out random hunt'n when the patrol missions give you progressively more experience (to fill your box and lvl, which they were designed for), andLOT's more cash. Another nice thing to note, if it starts getting to hard, all ya gotta do is land, and mission partrol is accomplished.

Actually myself and other friends have actualyl completed a few duty missions. It takes a while and boy, oh boy does it get hairy up there! The first time we did it and got a success we were like "it ends???" Tons of fun and XP, you're right but random killing is fun too. Just not usually as productive.

For me, three reasons:
1. Duty missions are too repetitive and make me sick with all the spinning
2. When I fail, I have land to pull a new one
3. I can tackle Tier 5's randomly for 2x the Tier 4 XP...
