I am wondering. Do I get my full black imperial flight suit as a reward through various pilot missions, or is that suit only obtainable through the ground based imperial themepark?

You get one from both. The one from the IMP themepark is the one you have to be declared for to wear. You also get one for finishing the tier 1 missions for IMP pilot.
