How are missions done in JTL? Specfically Freelance missions. The SWG pages says something about being able to fly with CorSec, the Black Sun, ect. Well it seems that for role-playings sake a CorSec pilot probably wouldn't fly for the Black Sun and vise versa. Do you have a choice of who you fly for as a Freelancer or is it chosen for you?

No, a little electronic midget leaps out of your disk drive when you install JTL and beats your hands until you fly for both CorSec and Blacksun.
Sorry...just getting a little tired of questions that are part of many of the FAQs that have been posted since beta ended.
Each piloting faction has 3 squadrons. You choose to fly with one squadron. As a freelance pilot, your choices are to fly with CorSec on Corellia, the RSF on Naboo or for the Smuggler's alliance on Tatooine. You will spend your entire piloting carrer flying for the same squadron, so you aren't going to RP your way into being some RSF anti-smuggler and then have to fly for Jabba.

There are three choices for a Privateer pilot. Go to Corellia and train with CorSec, go to Naboo and train with RSF, or go to Tatooine and train with the Smuggler's Alliance. Those decide which Privateer faction you fly for.

Whew... had me scared there for a second. Midgets brrrr.
I suppose that this choice also affects what "Ace" badge you get, as you can see in game now that there are a number of different Ace Squadron badges.
Incidently, (I'm almost afraid to ask in case it was in a FAQ
) if your only choices are CorSec, RSF, and Smuggler's Alliance... where does the Black Sun come in?

You're flying with them....while shooting blasters and missiles at them.

Ugh, I hate sounding like a noob, but I've been out for a couple months, and there's something I'd like to know.
Playing a bit of early beta, I noticed that every single mission was story driven. It looked as though I could ONLY do missions that follow this story. Now, my question is: are you able to pick up individual missions that stray away from a story, such as random destroy missions like in the ground game?

that'd be great for masters, but I guess master's purpose for now is helping people leveling

There are times when you can pick up either destroy missions or escort missions. The NPC I am talking to now gave me one story mission and after I competed that he went to these types, I guess waiting for me to reach the next trainable level. You go out for as long as you can/want and when you land the mission is over and you have to go talk to the NPC to get another.
These missions manifest themselves in space as following waypoint's to suspectedareas of activity of whatever bad guyyou are hunting.

So basically, if you complete the "story" quests, that's it.... no more JTL missions?
