The ship status bars on the left hand side of my screen will only show up if I click on them.

While I'm dog fighting, I have no way of monitoring my shield and armor status.....how do I fix this?

On your radar you'll see a blue circle and a red circle... The Blue is for your Shields.. and the Red is for your Armor. There's no way of keeping those status bars open.
