When I got my rebel ace fighter helmet I looked at it and got really excited because it looked so cool. But alas i'm trandoshan and the devs do not care about any other races but human or zabrak. So the only master rebel pilot on lowca cannot show off his helmet.

Its not the devs not wanting to make you be able to wear it.
Its george lucas.. he has to approve everything that happends in the game. So i guess he doesnt want aliens wearing helmets

That may be true, and I respect LA's adherence to continuity, but couldn't they have awarded some other helmet to non-humans or zabrak? I'm sure they could have come up with something.

I have a Twi'lek on a server that I rarely used, but I wanted to try out a TIE fighter, so I had that character complete the level one missions. I got a helmet that I can't put on. It makes sense because the helmet was designed for humans. However, I suspect the Devs could have designed another helmet that could be distributed to other races.

No, their heads are too big to fit in the human-headhelmets. They shouldmakea different helmet for each species.

Look, if Trandoshans can were the Composite helmet, the should be able to wear the rebel helmet. Dang it....

I'm guessing the reason that the helmets do not work on alien species is because the devs did not make it a high priority to make it so the helmet mesh stretches to fit various heads. This seems to be a common problem amongst many different types of headgear in the game, so I am guessing that it takes enough time to add in the stretches that it isn't worth it priority wise. Isn't it the same reason the rebel helmet isn't in yet?

Yes I feel your pain

But the imperial hat was just fixed after more then a year of being broken and alas its only equippable by male humans and zabrak. I dont see why they cant just give you another quest reward? Maybe some race unique item or something. Oh well, im sure it will make for a nice stand somewhere in your house
