I looked in the FAQ and on the Stratics link but didn't see an answer and a search came up with a high signal-noice ratio. Anyway, assuming you just want to be able to use the ship to bounce between planets and for storage/crafting, what do you need to do? I'm assuming that I'll need a multi-player ship which appear factional. Do I simply go buy a neutral ship deed, put it in the datapad and use the starship terminal? Do I need to talk with anyone before I can do this?

Well if your a 6 month veteran just type in
/claimveteranreward
and you'll get a free surosub yacht which you can use.

Well then you'll have to grind a lot of missions before you can get a multi passenger ship.
You can't pilot a multi passenger ship(except the surosab yacht) until you are a master pilot.
So find a trainer, I think rebel and privater trainers are in mos espa and then go ahead and fly.

For all MP ships buy for HP not mass, cheapest I've found is 500k (non-guild sale) however if you decide to go for your masters, watch the masses of all fighters, a critical mistake can be made by buying an xwing with 97500 mass for 100k rather then the 101k for 200-600k, the difference for using components could bee 100-200 in wieght get as much as you can.
