Thread: PvP Rewards for winning
Some ideas I came up with:
1. Gain Faction XP
2. Random loot drops (basically same as killing npc ships)
3. special xp that can be used to buy unique ship parts from Pilot trainers?
I've considered having the winner get one component off the loser but that will probably just keep people away for fear of losing loot they worked really hard to get. Something as simple as a normal loot drop equal to killing a tier X ship might do the trick. (X being the tier of ship destroyed. Tie/In = lvl 4/5 part, Tie oppressor = Lvl 9/10 part)

It doesn't come down to the first shot. Only if that person is unaware of an overt bearing down on them will that be the case. If your overt then keep hitting a special button. Simple really.
Tumbler, I like the idea of badges for player kills. It would give recognition to people who like to pvp in space and fly against other people. As for the xp, that should already be implimented i think, like the ground game, though it doesn't have to be. Loot drop wouldn't cause ppl to do it because if its random loot then people can get that by far easier means. And if its loot off of the ship that you just killed then ppl won't do it for fear of losing that great component they worked hard to get, like what someone above said.
