Wanna have some fun? Get in an MP ship and target another ship then leave the ship station. The ship should still be targetted when you stand up behind the chair. Hold the cursor over the ships healthbar and read it. You will get a nasty surprise. I have done this to things like the corvette, tier 5 fighters, and so on.

A CDEF could take out a ship. Why bother with all the big ship weapons. Let me strap a T21 on the side and really tear threw the enemy.

I would imagine you'd be looking at the chassis hp - which in and of itself is a damagable and decayable value.

Most people ignore chassis hp, but in PvP and PvE, it can mean the difference between survival and getting blown to hell.

if i remember this is the "condition" of the ship and always reads as a number out of 100,so its likely to be a percentage rather than the actual hitpoints

Hmmm, do your T-21s do 3000-4000 damage every .35 seconds?

If they dont then I'll stick with my ships weapons thank you very much

Could be that the scale of ground based damage and space damage are diffeent ratios.

It would be easier to number crunchto have ships with shields at 1200 and weapons that do 2300 damage than using the same scale as the ground, and having to deal with 245500 shields and 763340 weapons damage.

Just an example though

I doubt ground and space weapons can even interact, E.g. if you could fly in the atmosphere and shot at someone on the ground the laser bolt would probably go right through them and do nothing, same the other way round. If they every did have atmospheric flight with everything interacting, a ground weapon shouldnt even be able to take 1% off a ship's shield

I wanted to see if this was true so I grabbed my trusty T21 and went up in my Nova, not only could i not keep a target while getting up from a station, once I did get a target (my ship) type /attack a nice frienddly message comes up "you cannot attack while inside a ships interior" please stop wasting space

First off the part about strapping a T21 to my ship was a joke. The fact that you guys actually took that part seriously makes me have to give you some advice. Get up from your computer and walk to your front door. Step outside the door about 50 feet and look up. See that wide open thing up there? Its called the sky.

I just think its interesting the in the turn based world, ships are weaker then nunas.
