Question - Start the game last night with Total Experience and wanted to really get into space. With the help of a few players loaning me some credits I was able to get to Talus and join Black Epsilon. Now, what to upgrade first on the current chip, haven't gotten any good mods yet but overall curious. Also, which tree is a good to advance in first?

as far as advancing skill, i have found the following pattern best. Always advance equip cert first, then ship, then droid, then tactics. Atleast do equipment then ship first. The other two dont really matter. As far as upgrades, you cant upgrade your ship that is originally given to you. So, once you do by one that you are certified for, pretty much any loot item will be good. Engine, capacitor, weapons, and shields were always most important to me.

I would say always get the equipment certs first, then droid programs. But then, I'm a CorSec (Freelance) pilot, so it might be a little diffrent. I happen to like the ship I'm certed for at tier 1 and haven't really upgraded (the ship, that is, the equipment is another story entierly....), so a lot of it depends on your playstyle (and budget
