Thread: Another idea for JTLS ships.

When i go up to space, i hate it when i go up to my friends and i cant c them through there window...its like purple, in EP-3 u could c anikin perfectly in the window of his JSF. The idea is to take that purple away and make it clear.
Just something that bothers me.
Who agrees with me ?

it would work on starfighters but i don't think it could work on POB ships. however i would like to see /tell msges come up in that box on the screen like npc comms.

While it would be a really nice idea, could you imagine the kind of lag it could cause for systems that barely exceed the JTL requirements? Having to render not only players, but NPCs in their ships, unless you made it player only. And even then, it has to send you not only the info about the ship and it's loadout, but what equipment the pilot currently has on. While it might not seem like much per player, get a big PvP event going on and it could really add up. Have to remember you are in essence rendering 2 characters for every pilot: them and their ship.
Now that I'm done blasting the idea, I will say that I too have wanted that. How nice it would be for you to see the pilot you are about to blow up.
