I'd suggest a squadron of Imperial Star Destroyers moving throughout Spcae with a complement of NPC TIE Fighters, Interceptor etc.
I'd also like to see a Rebel Alliance Battle Fleet composed of Mon Calimari ships, B-Wings and X-Wings. It will give players the incentive to go an decalre their faction affiliations and roam open space overt.

Just a thought. Sign if you agree.

I still care a great deal about this game.

good idea. i definitely think space needs new content fast. i proposed a similar idea to yours a while back with large scale space battles. except they they should be instanced(just like the ground vette). cap ships create tons of fps drop and lag thats why instancing it would be more feasible i think.

I'd like to serve on board a Star Destroyer. Something like a Tour of Duty. But I don't think that's ever possible.

i was just saying something like this to my friend, there needs to be some kinda of huge battle, sorta like a live event. Something to spice up space. After master, and pvp, what are you going to do? We need action.

Something like a Themepark? That sound really cool...they should have one for the rebels, imperials, and neutral; make it so it is in space and you serve on a ship and then you have some mission on a planetoid?

I am sure we will see this kind of thing at some point everyone wants it...... I can just imagin the cool story lines you could create, your ship gets caught by a star destroyer you have to battle your way through to find the tractor beams controls, find the princesess ( sorry thats on the death star ) .... and get back to your ship blast out of there and esacap while fighting off a wing of TIE's they sent after you. Ifyou are getting pounded you could escape in anescape pod ( may be some penalty for leving your ship behind ) If you fail to escape one way or the other in an hour you're transferd to the Imperial prison and relesed due to admin errors ( But with again some penalty maybe hevey wounds )

The dungeon would be good if it had an element of the warren in it, a maze that takes skill to navigate and some areas of hard combat but places were you can re-group and get ready for the next bit.

Theme parks and new content are just a matter of time. There is quite a bit of room for player added content. Organize space battles on your server.
This is an RPG but you can't count on the Devs to GM everything or provide all the content. Sometimes you have to provide content for yourself and others. Player content is often more fun as well because it's more dynamic than pre-generated content.

And again I say, the playing field has been provided by the devs. It now falls on the players to get off their dead arses and set up a battle where there are capital ships.

I have yet to see that happen, and, quite frankly, until players start doing that, no one has a leg to stand on as far as crying to the devs for "space content".

They have been trying on Starsider. Unfortunatly the Imperial side has had a poor turn out the last couple battles. I wish I had created an Imperial pilot on that server instead of a Rebel. I may re-roll if it doesn't get better next time.
It is a hell of a lot of fun to fly in full squadrons.

While in any other instance I would agree with you when you say that players need to create their own content, in the case of space there isn't really enough "playing field" established yet to do so. If you look at how none of the POIs can be interacted with, how there is no special loot to find in space, and how all of the space sectors are essentially the same with the exception of the backdrops, it is apparent that something has to be added. People can only organize raids against the same Star Destroyer so many times before they get bored.

JTL is in dire need of an improvement to its exploration aspect as well as unique elements that take advantage of all of the professions in the game.

If people are expecting to be spoonfed content, then they need to stop playing this game [or take a break and go play a game that does]. There are plenty of chances to *roleplay* in space and on the ground.

As a long time fan of flight Sims I can say they could have added a lot more in to space.....

In most flight Sims the base capture systems alone provide hours of challenge, this could have been added into the game, it was not, just destroy missions....

This ruins the play long term as once done why repeat?

Oh course what can you expect when the only sim programmer they have did single player games 15 years ago.

Why this expansion suxs so much its just a rehash of Wing Commander.

They should have gotten some consultants from games Like Aces High 2 or similar and get a full Emerson setup.
