Dont know if yall had this topic, but i think it would be awsome to have escape pods when ur ships blows up. But i dont mean that ur ship is gone forever but like if ur in a battle and ur ship goes, u dont have to go down with with it. Escape pod. fly around in that till ur ship spawns back. might have to get another escape pod but thats all cool. u still have life. But when u get ur ship back u just have to pay for all damages. or maybe u have to pick ur ship up at a local space station. This just something i thought of. tell me wut u think

Well as it stands, when your ship blows up, you respawn at your last cloning center with your ship magically re-appearing in your datapad.


Instead of depicting ship distruction, how about this:


Once your ship's hull reaches "zero", you're not destroyed, however your ship is "knocked out" and are forced to put down on the nearest planet. So in this way, your ship incurs penalty damage, and we clearly see it's not "destroyed" -- as opposed to seeing it disitegrate into pieces, yet we can still piece it all back together and fly.

Ever wondered what would happen if some guy took your group to space with a multi-pasenger ship and just went AFK? It would be a good idea to add escape pods so people can leave the ship without having to make it land and waste time. This is how it could work: You go to the escape pod and use the radial menu to use it. Then the escape pod would go to the closest planet and a loading screen will come up and you would spawn somewhere on the planet. This would be better than having people kill each other aboard the ship so they can clone on a planet.

I doubt the devs will make it so you have to just sit there and wait for the person to log back on. There will be a way to get off.

I suggest the existing /eject mechanism be used for this purpose.

that would be really bad ass and i hope they consider it... i REALLY hope. Not because of afk issues but just for gameplay. That would be so awesome. Your stranded on endor in the middle of nowhere on the planet. It may not be pretty but it would be so cool to work your way back to a starport. Man good idea.

Yeah, press Ctrl+D and and generate your bike. Press Ctrl+V and make a waypoint to the nearest starport. I bet Luke's happy he never had to "work" this hard!!!

Or, put your space suit on, call your bike, smash a window on the ship and fly out of there.

Would you really want to abandon your ship? I mean if it gets destroyed while you arein it, you just clone on the closest planetand your ship gets stored in your datapad. If you abandon ship by using the escape pods, your ship is gone. You have abandoned it. Now you would have to buy a new one. Where's the fun in that?

That Is a great idea, but lets get real not EVERY ship in star wars has an escape pod, otherwise tons more people would have survived the battle of Yavin, Hoth, and Endor and if they were to make esape pods i think theyshould only make them for the Mellenium falcon looking ship. Great idea though!

Do you think they should be added,?, say your under attack and your ship is busted instead of cloning wouldnt you rather go on an escape pod land on the planet and your ship gets busted to the full length so you get it back in your data pad and you have to repair it to make it more realistic instead of just deing and cloning.

yer that would be cool but the problem is the attacker would most likely kill the escape pod so seems a bit pointless
