Thread: JTL + ROTW: I'm a little dissapointed so far...
1. The Vataracl lizard mount is pretty slow. It's also treated as a veteran reward instead of a bonus for pre-ordering. I don't see the logic in this. So you get one per account. Since Starsider was up first this morning I logged in and said I wanted to recieve that reward not paying attention to the second box that came up. I am hoping a csr can take back the lizard on my starsider account which I never use so I can add it to my main Ahazi account.
2. Can't build anything new yet. Everything that has been added to space because of ROTW requires asteroid resources to build. Everything u need to harvest these resources requires asteroid resources... That is stupid. Not happy about that.
3. No email alerting players to where to go for quests or such. When JTL launched it gave basic instructions for how to find JTL trainers and get going with that side of the game. I have not seen anything like that since playing ROTW this morning.
4. Avatar space station. Screenshots show'd a space station you can land and walk around on. This looks to be the place but I cannot land there. (I'm a rebel ace) I'm guessing a quest is needed to get access to it or something. Don't see any logic in holding out on players like this, just let us land there.
5. Same enemies in space. While the ground game in kashyyk has lots of new enemies the space side has very few. Most are familiar ships with new names. (My fav is an Awing Called Wookie pirate) Was really hoping to see kasshyk space be a lot more impressive, so far it's just the same ships with different names. Is nice to see the Cruiser that shows up in dathomir once in a while is patrolling with some smaller ships in kasshyk though.
6. Master level content. I have yet to see master level content for pilots. The missions I've been running in kasshyk are tier 2-4 at best, and are easy as a master pilot.
Anyone have a list of quests that unlock/give ROTW stuff?

Seriously, its more fun to follow a story and have a multi-leg quest than the usual "go to location X, kill this and come back for reward, quest over". Now we finally have a game that rewards the explorers, no more stupid exact waypoints given. Explore!

I wouldn't call letting players make a mining laser and cargo hold with ground resources or explore the space station "being handed everything".
Avatar station is a dungeon? ...sigh... Is there a boardable space station anywhere that players can just walk around and interact?

3) Check your journal for mission status (CTRL-J).
4) As someone mentioned, the Avatar Station isn't really a space station like we know it. It's a dungeon crawl.
5) Yeah, the variety of spawned enemies is limited. I wasn't really expecting much on that...
6) Try going out to Kessel and mine the diamond asteroids there...that should give you a challenge...
Well for getting 2 expansions for the price of one, JTL makes up for a so far lack luster ROTW.......
Ofcourse ROTW is so far lack luster because I was not with any groups on the wookie world(I can't spell my primary language how the hell am I supposed to spell wokkie?) and I can't find a cloner and am afriad of getting killed and getting one of them dammed cybernetic parts...... Also the fact that I'm more motivated to grind second teir Imp pilot at the moment. Well whatever, I guess it will pay off more when I'm actually checking the place out.

The quest to get a mark 1 mining laser and small starfighter cargo hold is fairly quick. If you go through the entire quest series, it leads to the Y-8, a small collection of lasers, a tractor beam, and apair of starfightercargo holds.
and I can't find a cloner and am afriad of getting killed and getting one of them dammed cybernetic parts......
There is cloning and insurance, just does not look like the usual cloners we are used to. I'll leave it at that for people to explore.

You can't get multiple rewards so you can't sell one, then just generate another and sell that too, which would make you rich in only a short amount of time. Which really isn't fair. I'm sorry you can't make a few million everyten minutes.

Do the mining quest. You'll get basic mining equipment and can start space mining. Simple as that.
There were plans for some Y-8 only mining lasers and a tractor beam, but it doesn't look like those made it.

So you want everything spelled out for you? Get off your butt and go looking for quests like your supposed to. You're not going to be shown where each and every quest is.

Avatar Station is a dungeon that requires a quest to get in. It's not simply a place for you to land in and frolic around.

Just because it's a new system doesn't mean a fleet of brand new ships are going to suddenly appear. You can't expect to see a bunch of new ships in every space sector you go into.
Kashyyyk does have new factions, but no new ships. Try the cyborg Gotals and such.

Then you haven't been doing enough quests. There are many quests out there that spawn tier 5 enemies. Like the mission for the heavy X-Wing. Go out there and find them.

Yup, I do, and quite a few of them. I got them from exploring Kashyyyk back in the BETA test. I'm not going to give 'um to you, either, because you need to go out and find them yourself. That's half the fun.
