Don't know what you mean. The only thing you have to do in the way of themeparks is to get to Jabba's throne room for the Smuggler's Alliance.

You can do space missions to get full access to the themeparks, for jabba's the mission starts for tatooine station and for the emporers retreat the naboo station. Hear lots of people having trouble getting the missions though.

I am not here to rant, nor complain. I am here because I have a big problem, one I have already cancelled my account over because I get no help from SOE at all.

First let me say this; I loathe the ground game, absolutely despise it. Played from two months out of launch until the Jedi Revamp, cancelled my account over that. Came back to see JTL. So here is my problem: I love JTL, for me it is the best combat/spacesim of all time because it is online, and it is Star Wars. And it is forcing me to grind a ground game that I refuse to have any part of any longer.

Is there anyway to continue pilot training without grinding the themeparks? I want to be an Ace, but not if I have to do anything more than land my spacecraft in order to pee once in awhile.

Thanks for any help, sorry if I sound angry, I kinda am...

Thanks for your help guys. I have just recieved confirmation that there is no way to get into Jabba's palace unless I do ground crap for Reelo, which is not what I bought the whole sheebang for. I would have to complete the 'trust badge quests' in order to see Jabba, and I'm sure Nym's badge is in the offing also, if I ever want to see Ace. I imagine the reb and imp badges are pretty much needed were I to decide that route for training.

Before the CU this woulda been a tiny bump in the road, an hour and a set of buffs, and back into the pilot's seat. Now it is a serious grind that will include a few hours of cert/armour/combat grind just to get up to the levels of the Tuskens/Mystery Beast/et. al that comes with seeing Jabba. I am a combat level 2, certed for a CDEF pistol that I have no want or need of, because I detest both the combat system AND the CU.

JTL is a sweet, sweet thing. On an internet where Earth and Beyond has gone to beyond...(JTL is what EnB wanted to be when it grew up)...where EVE online has no place for joysticks and fighter pilots...where Vendetta Online plays real nice, but looks like it should be released on a Nintendo 64; there isn't much to beat it in space/combat/sims. Throw in the fact that it is Star Wars and you have a title that could stand on it's own. SOE and LucasArts, in thier wisdom, insists on forcing the pilot market for JTL into partcipating in the flawed product that is Galaxies. Foolishness and Fie on both your houses!

I'm sorry, I did not come to rant I said. I will go back to Warblurbs-(warbirds), Dead-on-Arising-(dawn of aces) and other such online fare, and leave this title (JTL) that has so much promise, and watch Galaxies crash and burn from the sidelines. Instead of being a solid defender of SWG with both words and wallet, I will watch the train wreck sorrowfully. SOE gives me and others like me no other choice.

Thanks for listening, goodbye everyone...

Where are you getting this? You don't need any badges to get any master pilot. All you need is to get into Jabba's throne room for Smuggler's Alliance(which means 2 of the mission givers, Bib andthe protocol droid, you don't even have to bother with).

Don't know where Nym enters the matter.

Your "confirmation" is incorrect and your assumptions false.

Of all my time in JTL, the only thing ive ever had to "grind" on the ground as a pilot is:

- talk to trainer
- ride on speeder
- Walk or run from point A to point B
- Go shopping
- Store parts
- RE parts
- Stand infront of starship terminal and go "hmmmmm".
- Oh, and the occasional cantina/hosptial visits.

Why thank you, Bunny; for being so rude and dismissive with your answer. The truth is the 'official' faq says nothing at all about how to land in Jabba's palace, and my confirmation came from the mouth of CSR itself, who tells me that the quests at the front of Jabba's palace is the only way to access the throneroom. *Sheesh*

So, the only way to bypass Reelo and his waste of time is to drop my pilot skills and start over, and hope the Lady V's henchmen offer an alternative way into Jabba's presence? Ain't that a great kick in the head. And the ONE time I post to ask for help, the one personwho 'helps' me the most also drops all modicum of polite behaviorin order to give a quick insult within such superior knowledge of the game. Apparently even the 'community standards' aregoing south fast,too...

I don't recall being insulting and rude to anyone here, and I'd like to thank those of you who answered with kindness, the questions of newbie.

Sometime near, or at teir 2, you get a mission from tatoonie station while in space.
When your offered this mission, you do it right away.

Its a space mission. No ground combat required. Complete the mission and you can land, at Jabbas palace, with full access to the palace as i recall. I did this while in the smugglers alliance, its not hard- only weapon i needed was my ships blasters.

Heck, even as an imperial pilot. Similar mission, this time to the Emperor's Retreat. Full thempark access, no ground combat at all.

Or as a rebel pilot.. simiar mission on datooine to land at the abandoned base. I dont recall having to do any themeparks there either.

I don't like ground combat, and i dont care for the CU all that much, beleive me, if i had to do any ground combat, id have known about it already!

And you actually think the CSR's would know? You think they bother to find out another way? AS for Becoming master Imp pilot, theres a guy standing out side the retreat. All you have to do is talk to him and you get full access to the place. Im RSF and even i could get in.

Also IF you should choose to go through with thr quests for jabba (which aint that big a deal), just get a couple combat friends to do them while you just tag along to get in.

Pretty sure I wasn't rude. Direct, yes. Blunt sure. rude and insulting? you have a thin skin. I posted after you ranted and went off and a tangent, based on incorrect information and false assumptions. You didn't say your "confirmation" was a CSR, but even if you had I would have laughed. If you're truly willing to take the word of a wage slave who's more than likely never completed that aspect of the game over someone who's tried, tested, reported, and completed all methods of access multiple times, that's your call. I won't tell you what I think of that, because *that* would be rude of me. Also sorry you think an expression of impatience at someone willing to rant but not read the basic Profession information many previous players have worked to compile is out of line.
