I understand that Dark Jedi have TEF on other dark Jedi due to the fact that they are battling for dominance. And this is how it is determined to be a master/ranking. My question is though do lightside Jedi TEF on other lightside, even though they have the Jedi council and they are voted in by their peers. Any help with Jedi TEF's will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just started JTL this morning as an Imperial pilot. So far it's pretty cool. I have one dumb question though: Where can I find out how much damage my ship is taking? I know on the right side of the screen there is a UI that shows the % of the ship's engine, shields, etc. But these always show at 100% for me. When you're fighting another ship, a box pops up showing how much of their shields and stuff are left. Is there somethig that shows this for my ship?

So far I haven't died, but it's kinda like flying blind. Am I just having a blonde moment and missing something here?

Thanks!

If those components on the right are takeing damage you are already in trouble. Long before they get hit you are taking damage to your shields and armor, and since your shields canrecharge you can break combat and run until they refill, saving damage to your more important sub-systems.

Look at your Radar. On the outside there are twoblue half circles. This is your shields, your first line of defense. The one on top is front sheilds, the one below is back shields. As you take damage they go down, turning from blue to black. The more black, the less sheilds you have left, but they recharge. if you get away they will recharge fully in time, like your Health regaining.

In the middle of the Radar are two red half circles. These are your armor, your second line of defense, Once your shields are gone your armor starts taking hits. They do not recharge, the only way to make the black damage go away is to repair the armor, which causes decay, making the armor just a little less effective than before.

If your shields and armor are both black, then you will see the components on the right taking damage. At this point the only thing on your mind should begetting away very very fast, because if you don't you are going to explode.

Not positive which box would be best for an imp, either the one that gives you a more advanced ship ot the one that gives you access to higher level parts.

Awesome!

That's exactly what I needed to know! THANKS!

The components on my right haven't taken any damage and neither has my armour. My shields have been hit a bit, but nothing major. The beginner missions of shooting pirates are pretty easy. I'm sure things will heat up though.

Thanks for the info!

The Imperial Pilot's Boxes are all rather proficient.

Ships: TIEs have the lowest mass of any ship (with the exception of the Bomber), so if you're having problems fitting components in, get a new ship; although the TIE Bomber took me all the way - great ship.

Components: You have to be careful here. Mass issues mean you can't just buy any Tier X components and lob them in; but a good shield and weapon would take you a long way. Components and Ships are more dependant on each other for Imperial Pilot than with any other Pilot profession, due to the low mass.

Ship "Tricks": The Imperial Pilots have the best Pilot abilities, in my opinion. Bomber Strike can help a ton when it comes to Gunboats. That alone is worth considering.

Droid Commands: Capacitor Overload + Weapon Overload + Engine Overload + Cap to Shield Shunt = 250% Performance.

All boxes are good, but you have to consider what part of your ship needs improvement, and choose accordingly.

Yeah all imeperial boxes are pretty nice. Engine Overload 2 is eventually essential to getting through the tough missions, and higer level gear certs will help you upgrade fast. Bomber strike is very very nice as well. You shouldn't have any trouble leveling at the first 2-3 levels so it really doesn't matter which box goes first, you'll be able to figure out what you need after a few levels.

ps) when you get the certification, have a rebel pilot burn you some shield droid commands onto some droid chips and use them for your astromech, they come in *quite* handy
