Hey=) I had ordered the ROTW DD so just figuring out how to get to Kashyyyk for me was a challenge. After talking to the Imperial Pilot Recruiter in Bestine I realized that I need help figuring all the controls and everything out. Is there some set of training missions or something like when you first join the game? If so who do I talk to and where do I go to get these? Also I joined the Imperials but I heard I can join Nuetral aswell. If I join Neutral where exactly is the Pilot Recruiter and will he also give me a ship capable of Hyper Jump like my Tie Fighter Light?

Thats the basic questions for now I guess=)

When you first go into space they give you a brief tutorial, very brief. Like how to talk to the space station and very basic controls. You can go neutral, there should be three squadrons which you could join. I think you would have to drop Impreial Pilot and go talk to the Neutral recruiter, I can't remember where he is. I think on tattoine, in a guild hall somewhere. The neutral ship should be able to hyperspace. If you have a joystick you can configure the keys and axis' when in space by hitting Ctrl+O then selecting controls, then keymap, then the tab for space or ship, can't remember. In that you can set up all your controls however you like. When you talk to the recruiter he should give you a waypoint for your first level trainer who will give you missions and train you when ready. If you're on Lowca and need more help send me an in-game tell.

It should also be noted that travel to Kashyyyk isn't recommended until you're at Tier 3 or higher. The ships there will probably destroy you otherwise.

Well I got no such tutorial when I went into space=( I also have already been to Kashyyyk with no problems. But I want to learn how to be good in space so I can start leveling up. I think I would rather be nuetral as they're ships seem cooler to me.

So.....does anyone know where the Neutral Recruiter is? Also where the trainers and squadron people are for Neutral? Do I need to get trained by the recruiter or is he useless?

I can not get ingame to check exactly which right now but the neutral recruiter is on Tat in the back room of one of the major city cantina's.

Here is a good piloting tutorial:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pilot&message.id=13083

As for the trainer, I am at work and don't have access to the game, and am searching the forums right now. I can't find an exact waypoint. But I think the guys name was Bill something... I think he was in bestine, the guild hall... You may also be able to go directly to the first level privateer trainers. They at least would send you back to the guy you need to talk to first. I know there is a trainer on Corelia. The guy I went to was in the palace in theed. If you're really stuck search for a freelance ace and ask them, or search the forums.

Ok, if you want to take up neutral you have to quit imperial first. The neutral freelancer guild leader is in Bestine hotel and the first tier pilot trainer in the back room of the Mos Eisley cantina. There are also Royal Security Forces and Corellia Security to fly for when neutral. Royal Security Forces are imperial aligned however and Freelancers are rebel aligned which will reflect in the missions you'll get. Corellia Security pilots get to choose to take down the imperial or rebel corvette for their master mission though. All tier one trainers provide you with a starter ship.

freelance would definatly be better for someone new to the game. the imperial pilottrainer in bestine is for storm squadron, which is widly recognized as the hardest in the game.

More specifially CorSec. That by far is the easist pilot track i've ever seen. Teir 3 missions that last 20 minutes, if that. If you just want another Borestal or L8 reward engine, CorSec is the fast track, its so easy, its a joke.

The squad you are talking about...the one that starts in Mos Eisly (I cant remember the squad name), is the easiest of the neutral squads. If you want the easiest Imperial squad, join the Imperial Inquisition in Kaadara, Naboo. Keep doing the missions from the guys in the cantina at Eisly. After a while he will send you to the lucky despot to get your missions. After that line of missions, be warned, your next trainer will be in jabbas palace in the thrown room. So if you have not done the themepark you will have to do it. Or, you can do a space mission to get free access to the palace. You can only get the space mission from the Tattooine space station while you are tier 1, or maybe 2, regardless make sure if you want to do the space mission for the free pass you always ask the spacestation if they need help. They will give you a standard escort mission until you are at the proper tier, then the spacestation will change its mission and offer you to help jabba I believe. If you continue to level up without taking the mission from the spacestation, it will stop offering it to you and you will not be able to get the free pass. That said, I've mostly been a solo pilot and have found that having the heaviest ship with the heaviest guns and shields is the best bet for solo leveling. I stay at max range when taking any gunships and they will miss almost everyshot. If things get bad I can then simply stop moving and the gunship will go outta range allowing me to heal up. You will want the Kimoglia once you get the option, since it has 3 gun mounts as well as an ordinance spot. Since you are neutral getting xp shouldnt be hard. Go to lok and find some Tier 3 blood razors because they wont aggro on you and you can take them out one at a time.

Thnx for advice. So what are the 3 Neutral Squadrons though and if I continue to do Cantina guys stuff which path will I end up on? I'm also a little confused about how I am supposed to keep track of how far along on each squads missions I am.I mean couldnt I technically Master and then just go around and do all 3 squadrons missions 1 at a time?

So where exactly are all the Neutral Pilot Trainers for Squadrons? Do I get some sort of Badge or something identifying me as flying for a certain squadron after a while or how does this work?

Right now I am just going to the back of Mos Eisly and I am doing missions for the first guy in the back of the Cantina. But I am not sure who the second guy in the back of the Cantina is. Other than learning to become a better pilot is there any benefit to taking the harder Squadron missions?

So where exactly are all the Neutral Pilot Trainers for Squadrons? Dunno, only done SA, but if you talk to Gil Burton in the bestine hotel he can tell you.

Do I get some sort of Badge or something identifying me as flying for a certain squadron after a while or how does this work? You get a different badge for each group when you master

Right now I am just going to the back of Mos Eisly and I am doing missions for the first guy in the back of the Cantina. But I am not sure who the second guy in the back of the Cantina is. You'll talk to him when you finish your first tier of pilot

Other than learning to become a better pilot is there any benefit to taking the harder Squadron missions? It impresses the dancers.
