Thread: Imp pilot stuck at 2222
Im an imp pilot, all went well solo until i had to go to yavin 4...
1- I need to do this engineering escort mission, and that works
2- Then i get a new waypoint where i have to help another escort
3- afterwards i need to disable an a wing and dock it
4- then i have an escort again, with a lot of a wings
5- and here i fail, after the escorts jumps to hyperspace i get a message that mission succeeded and that i have to do something with the encrypted item i got from the A wing ( -3 ), but A wings keep coming in waves of 6 at a time, soon i'm overrun and destroyed
took 2 friend with me on the trip, both 2222 pilots, but we didnt succeed...
Can you guys give me some advice ?
I think i'm with the black squadron...
On missions like this your only objective is to reach the waypoint. If you're being overrun, disable the ships instead of destroying them. It's quicker to do, and it can slow down the next wave. Keep heading for that waypoint. The fast engine advice is good too, but 90+ is a bit unrealistic at the end of tier 2. Also, if you've not yet invested in a Flight Computer, now would be a good time to think about it.

I think you're with Storm Squadron.

I found that the key to JTL solo/group missions successes are to find the best "components" you can, and Flight Computersor Astromech Droids, with the proper commands ( weapon capacitor overload, weapon overload, engine overload, reactor overload & weapon capacitor to shields), it's like 'buffs' for your ship.
I had a lot of trouble soloing JTL missions until I started using droid commands.
Now when I qualify for a Tier upgrade, I always get 'component use' first followed by 'droid use'.
With this formula I have greatly advanced in JTL flight missions and I love it.
Also.. I found that most missions that require you to 'Dock' with a NPC ship for whatever reason, If youjust dock without fighting the hostiles, often it ends the mission.

Well thank you guys,
Yesterday i bought the shield shunt, programmed my flight computer, tested a bit...
then i brought along 2 friends, both 2222 pilots one neutral and one imp
I MADE IT :-)
The thing that saved me was the Shield shunt... the last mission where you have to dock the imp shuttle, the a wing waves kept coming, so we disabled their engines and didnt destroy them, to keep the wave from coming(dont think it helped..)
engine overload 2 and weapon overload 2 ruled as well, disabled A wings with 4 shots
I docked the shuttle, while i docked it I almost got killed, but I shield shunted the whole time while docked, and suddenly MISSION SUCCESFULL :-)
thx a lot guys, I now have the tie interceptor that will help me
