For example, rebels get a Taim & Bak Military-Grade Shield with 2433 front/back but the mass is 43540. Alright... I understand you're not supposed to be able to load up the greatest of everything on a ship. But 43K mass on a shield?... I mean, there's only 100K Mass on the average xwing.. that's almost half right there. It's like "Hi I got this awesome shield but I can't kill anything now"
lol...

oh I know. I played the beta and all. It's just kinda rediculous that you can't really use tier4-master level stuff without sacrificing half of your mass...
That's like a mark IV reactor that's 20K mass putting out 15K energy, and then a level III reactor that's 9K mass putting out 14K energy. It's like, uh..... Why such a big jump in mass for tier 4+ stuff?

get a neutral pilot to make you a reactor overload level 3 or 4 (don't remember if 4 is avalaible at master) it'll fix all your reactor issues

they could just as well have keept the old mass system, only thing they did was add a couple of digits to the components and ship's mass. it's a fake imo.
The whole mass system is just daft lol.
