Thread: Integration with Force Sensitive Quests...

Just a few random observations, having returned to The Village after scooting around the stars for a while:

1. Why can't a pilot convert his Space XP to Force Sensitive XP? Seems like a reasonable exchange to me. Come to think of it, can Shipwrights convert their XP to the equivalent FS XP?

2. Conversely, do FS Vehicle Control skills have any affect on ship piloting? As there are plenty of numbers involved with the way a ship handles, it only seems logical that the Vehicle branch can alter them slightly.

Tiny little things, really. But it would help to meld the two big development paths of the last six months together.

Choice comments regarding ToOW Beta:
  • "When this goes Live, they'll be retiring the hamsters and powering the servers from Alec Guiness spinning in his grave."

  • "SWG would be a lot better if the developer meetings didn't start with one of the chumps saying 'Hey guys! I was playing WoW last night and...'"

  • "The only way they can make this more depressing is putting a gate up in the Starport with 'Arbeit Macht Frei' written across it."

1. Because while JTL is avalible to everyone, not everyone has it. It would be unfair to offer only JTL people a higher chance of getting Jedi. And no I don't believe SW can convert XP.

2. It's suppose to effect any vehicle you control. If it does or not is beyond me.

Once you reach a certain point in the pilot trees you no longer get space combat exp. You then get "prestige points" that can be used to travel to certain PvP areas. It makes using space combat exp for Jedi a bit too complicated.

Fair point. But at a basic level, The Village provides a means of converting the time and effort you've spent doing stuff in game into the means towards attaining Jedi. While a pilot is out amongst the stars, they are not hunting on the ground, and thus not earning any of the ground skills' XP. Why shouldn't that choice of play be reflected in the overall grind?

Whether or not the time and effort spent earning 100 XP in Space from shooting down Pirates is equal to that spent earning 100 XP from TKA-slapping Gnorts is an exercise best left for another time.
