Yo,
Dumbass checking in with another stupid question.
I have a y-wing, I loaded up my proton torpedoes, and countermeasures, loaded ammunition into both, and took off into space.
I had the buttons on my joystick and weapons groups set up right, but when i get a locked on signal on an enemy and try to fire my proton torpedoes, i get a error indicating this weapon is disabled.
Same thing happens when i get missles chucked at me and am trying to use counter measures.
One thing i noticed is with my ship loaded out, my reactor can supply enough energy like i have a 10k reactor and my demand is 12k. Could this be the problem?
Any help is appreciated.

You need enough power to run your components. Get a higher energy output reactor and you'll be fine.

Yes, If you overtax your reactor, ( the numbers will turn red in the management screen), when you launch into space it will dump what ever it takes to get below the max output, i.e. blasters, missile launchers, counter measures or your boosters.
Get a bigger reactor or drop some unneeded components.........
