So what is the scoop with freelance ships versus the other factioned ships? Our medium fighter (black sun Ixiyen) may look cool but has only 70k mass with inferior handling and less armaments when compared to the X-Wing which has 100k mass, handling on par with our light fighters, and more firepower. Also what about our counterpart to the interceptor A-Wing which has 60k mass and is incredibly fast? Our light fighter, Kihraxz has the best agility of all classes but at only 30k mass does not have the capacity forcomparable engines orweapons. And don't get me started with the B-Wing since we do not get a comparable ship at master. All we get is the YT-1300 that cannot be used solo and where the other faction professions have equivalents.

Unless I am missing something here, this seems alittle unbalanced to me. If that is not the case, then i ask the Devs to communicate what features of freelance ships balance against the other factioned ships. Is it the droids? the special pilot skills? the agility? the cool design? =P

After getting to freelance pilot 3-3-2-2, I am starting to see how unbalanced our ships are. If I had to make a guess and envision the future once everyone becomes a master pilot, I would say that the A-Wing and X-wing will be like Rifleman and 2-HandSwordsman of space since they are the only ships that will be effective in PvP. Freelance ships will be like Carbineer and Pikeman. Theylook cool and are effective in PvE but absolutely worthless in PvP.

You would think that whoever envisioned all three Pilot professions would have an idea on how to balance them out after going through SWG beta for the last 16 months.
