OK! I fully appreciate that pretty much everything has been said (by the players at least) about the European delay of JTL, from the original 29th of October to the later 5th of November release dates.
I agreed with most of the comments (although some did not have to be that harsh) that my fellow gamers have thus far made andhave not felt the needto add my 2 pence (cents) worth, as my view seemed to be well represented.
HOWEVER! With the now apparent further dealy to the 12th of November (check all the UK sites they are slowly changing their dates!) I can no longer sit back and allow other people to do all of the work! As you can see I have only ever posted twice before (and one of those was a duplicate) and so I am generally not the type of personwho gets all emotional about the game and all of its inherrant flaws and bugs; I can even (to a point) live with not getting the pre-order reward our chums from over the pond get.
With that in mind, it must have taken somthing pretty major for me to get off my ever growing arse and write this post, in protest of the debarcle that has been the Euro launch of JTL.
Now I am a fully paid up adult and as suchunderstand that the devs/Activision/old man Lucas cannot simply wave a magic wand and get us all a copy before the "release date". However, as I am also a fully paid up subscriber, as all of us our, and effectivly helped to pay for JTL to be created , I do think that, AT THE VERY LEAST, I/we deserve the following.
1: An absolute confirmation of the absolute final release date.
2: An explanation(of the honest kind)
3: An apology (and say it nicely!)
Thats all I want, and not even right now as I fully understand that you guys need to vote and then celebrate/get overgetting rid of Bush. So with that in mind, please feel free to take a few days and back to all of us at this side of the Atlantic at some point this week.....please!

While I understand your feelings here you have to understand, that the distribution of the game is absolutely not in the hands of SOE or any of the devs that might read this here. It's the local distributors that seem to have messed up in the UK or maybe there are some other problems there, I simply don't know and I think noone here can give you any answer since they are simply not involved in the distribution at all.

I pre-ordered SWG from the USA for a little more than what it would be worth here. (collectors edition)
I pre-ordered JTL from the USA for less than what it is here. (got a flash speeder too).
For us euro's the key is pre-ordering in advance, by advance I don't mean about 1 day, I'm talking months. It has worked for me.

I do agree that in essence this is an issue of poor distribution and as such Activision are probably the ones to blame. However, the Devs at SOE are really are only means of communication. In addition they should (and I think the actually do) care about the game and the people playing it. I also think they have the means to find out what we would like to know in a far more effective way than I can by having a moan at Activision (They after all have not spent the last howerver long waiting for and developing the game)
Like I said however I respect all the veiws that have been made thus far, now all we need is an answer! Even if it is to say "its my fault"

The devs do care. Saw that first hand in beta.
However, the devs do not have the resources, nor the authority to do anything about it.

Yeah I think I need to make clear my original point. I am not asking the devs to do anything about it! I just want an explanation and a bit of sympathy. They as gamers can obvious understand how this make us feel. I also dont by that they cant find out, or already have no idea what happened. It is after all their game to support!
By the way, and as I said earlier, no probs with the devs or the game. As rule of thumb I think they have done a grand job!
