Thread: Why does JTL double the required/recommended RAM?

This really makes no sense to me, and heres why:

SWG's required/recommended RAM was 256/512

JTL's required/recommended RAm is 512/1024

Now, SWG was ONLY a ground game. JTL is ONLY(as far as the actual play goes) a space game. Yet, oddly enough, I used to have very little lag w/ SWG, but now that i've installed JTL I have considerably more lag ON THE GROUND, and NO lag what so ever in space. It seems like it would be completely the opposite, as far as lag goes, since the requirments for the ground game havent changed, as theres been no real change TO the ground game. You would think those requirments would only affect space play. BTW, I only have 512 RAM, which i do plan on upping to a gig now, but still...

I don't know why it needs more, but it doesn't increase lag. In fact, I've seen greatly decreased lag in many areas, and almost no lag inh space at all. The only real problems I've had is SWG crashing after a spontanious huge lag burst in Theed, and Theed Spaceport not appearing at all.
