18. Will we be able to pull our droids and have them run around on the YT-1300 deck while in flight? ( ZuppZ )

Sorry but no.

Did you see the classic Trilogy? We saw more droids on board of ships than jedi. C-3PO babbling in the cockpit - R2 fixing the hyperdrive ... This is also a key moment of star wars(more than being a jedi for me, in any case). I thought multiple passenger ships where supposed to be like houses. Why shouldn't I be allowed to have fun in space with my best friend, the droid? I want to be able to live on a ship and do anything I like - even pet or droid wars. I just can't believe this.

24. Any plan to add Youzhan Vong (New Jedi Order) as a high level NPC mob in a future dungeon or quest in space? Would be fun to explore a Vong forward recon team or something like that. The biological ships and interiors would be a welcomed and nice change of pace from caves and metal walls, would really let the art team have some fun (or headaches hehe) (MonroeThanes )

No. That takes part in a timeline that is way in the future.

Yeah right, the time line. We have full jedi Councils of light and dark ... but politicians can't have a senate or council feature because it would need the approval of LucasFilm for any name on such a council? That just doesn't make sense. Who is to say, that if between ANH and TESB, if we have a huge invasion of hundreds of new jedi, there is also a little scout group of Youzhan Vong testing out this galaxy ... Nobody can say they make it back to their galaxy to report (just as I hope the invasion of Jedi is just a flicker after the destruction of the Death Star - and jedi will be back to being nearly extinct by "the time" of TESB) ...

Perfect NPCs to control Jedi

Get your stories straight. In Haden's interview this week, he specifically said there are escort and patrol missions as well as combat ones. Who is wrong here?

I bet in escort and patrol missions you will have to fight enemy ships - or what do you think you are patroling for?

All right, so here's something that I'm curious about:

Unlike the X- and Y-wing fighters, the TIE fighters in the movies never had Hyperdrive capability ("No, it's a short-range fighter"- Obi-Wan Kenobi, aboard the Milennium Falcon in A New Hope).

Now, I can't say that for all of the TIE-designs, but is the common TIE fighter going to have hyperdrive capabilities?

Not really. The Vong were exploring the galaxy when Anakin skywalker was a child. Vergere was an old republic Jedi and lived among the Yuuzhan Vong for fifty years (Cloak of Deception).

Continuity's never stopped the you before. At least we'd have an edge then, since the YV, to my knowledge, aren't a part of the Force.

Here's a question that I haven't found as having been asked yet:

How will the Ithorian language be handled? I understand they can speak an accented basic, but what about their native language? Will it be easily learned like all the others or will it be granted as a special ability (like Underworld in Smuggler)?

I know the likely answer but though I'd ask anyway.

Chewbacca died a hero's death saving lives as a world was destroyed around him...

Timothy Zahn has written the book immediatly following NJO, if you wont read anything based on it or part of it,

then your stuck in the 'past...' I agree the Vong don't belong yet, just as much as the Jedi should still consist of 2 Jedi on each side of the Force.

But, on to my question: TH, How is combat going to work? Will pilots just be able to open fire and damage anything they shoot? Or will 'neutral' or non consenting players be immune to enemy fire unless they have a TEF or the space equivalent?

I am most interested in the "feel" of the envirnment both in space and on the ground.

I want to be able to explore, harvest resources, salvage damaged ships, hide from the enemy.

I would like to set my ship up like a rescue ship with med beds and surgical droids.

but mining lasers and resource scanners for pulling resources from the rocks would be great

say TH since YOU mentioned the continuity thing... how come DURING THIS TIME FRAME. we have over ten thousand jedi?

ANNNNNNNNNNNND more are on the way from what i read. everyone will have jedi like powers? Give me a break lol.

Continuity my rear lol

when you ditch the thousands of jedi and actually get with the time period? then come back and talk to us about continuity k?

Thanks.

I watched the movies, read a couple of books, and god knows, i know more of what is supposed to be happening than you so called star wars fans "Hint THunnnnnnnnnnnderheart."

Sheesh, get a grip will ya?

Can't wait to get back in game now and tell me buds about how the thousands of jedi running around are just a figment of their imagination and that they are dead on course with the CONTINUITY of this game. ROFL

Wow. You are a King BSer buddy.
Fan fest next year i want you to look me dead in the eye and say that again. i wanna see if you honestly belive this game is going with the time frame it is in. seriously.

LOL Shakes head.

According to about 30books in NJO he most certainly is. Died at Sernpidal (or something like that) when the Yuuzhan Vong dropped a moon on the planet by way of gravitic attraction - I believe they used a variation of a dovin basal (sp?). Han Solo blamed Anakin, his son,for Chewie's death, if you care.

The reason that only astromech droids should be able to enhance ships... Think of a protocol droid:
"Oh, we're doomed!"
"I can't say how much I hate space travel!"
"The odds of surviving a direct assault on an Imperial Star Destroyer..."
"This is all your fault!"
"But sir!"
