Istov,
Take a look at my From Novice to Master Guide. Lots of good stuff in there to get you leveled fast.

The DH17 has a solid DPS for low levels, but it might not be easy to find a weaponsmith selling them. The staple is a Republic Blaster these days and it is energy damage as well, but it is a little slower. The real bonus is that the Republic has AP1. Try it out and see how well you do.
Really, you should have an FWG5 (heat), a Republic Blaster (energy, AP1), and a DX2(acid, AP1) in your arsenal at all times. That's the minimum, just to ensure you have a damage type that would be at least moderately useful against most targets. Our "Creating the Pistoleer Guide" stickied at the top has some great tips.

True the 3 guns listed above are probably thebest on the marketand easiest to find. Your main weapon should probably be if possible a speed sliced Fwg. Speed at the earlier levels is a lotmore important than power but be warned power will come in very very handy later on. So if u get a 564max 3.1 speed geno hold onto it or give it to me
I made the mistake of trading my 450max fwg for a .5 speed fwg at my earlier levels because i thought it would help me in the long wrong. BIG MISTAKE.

find a Master doc friend and ask if he'll be giving buffs for a while, they usually get a ton of tells to buff, so his customers come to your camp, he gets paid still and you get xp

Does anyone at all have a fast way to get survival xp? In an improved camp kit it will be 8 hours of straight camping for survival IV... I'm fairly low on money considering the cost of recourses so i couldn't really grind it away like that. Anyone have some secrets they want to leak? Oh and if anyones wondering Im doing this for a Holo prof.

I always used a camp to heal myself after combat, so I would get mission credits, combat xp, scout xp for harvesting then scout xp for camps...the more damage I suffered, the more xp I got. A win win situation!

Good for a FWG5 at least
The problem with FWG5s is that there are many mobs that have high resists to Heat, while only having mediocre resists to Energy and even less to Acid.
You can get both Scout Blaster and DH17 with around 1.9 speed and 100-200 energy damage, Republic Blaster and DX2 go even higher but are less fast and you're lacking most of the speed modifiers at Novice Pistoleer.
