Take a tier4 duty from another neutral squad. the RSF one against Black Suns is a popular choice. Just trust me and goto theed palaceinstead of posting again and asking me painfully obvious questions about it ok?

As for the Kashyyyk Duties, if you think it's the 'end' when the first gunnie shows you're wrong. Thats just the end of the first cycle. Also double check the xps you're getting from those ships, some Duties are bugged and only give tier2-3 xp for tier4-5 ships.

To sum up, the Kash missions are more trouble than they are worth atm, and a tier4 duty is probably a better investment of yout time.

I just posted this on the FS board..

Ok here's your maths (calculated from a pure combat template) presuming you haven't got any FS skills at all..

6 x tier 4 boxes = 2,700,000
6x tier 3 boxes = 2,100,000
6 x tier 2 boxes = 1,500,000
6 x tier 1 boxes = 1,050,000
2 x novice boxes = 100,000

total = 7,450,000

Presuming you cap at 1.2mill weapons xp you will get 44k FS xp every time you convert, this means you will need to go to the village and trade xp 170 times in order to unlock.

Now if you want to break that down differently..

170 x 1.2mill weapons xp = 204,000,000 weapons xp and 20,400,000 combat xp, if you get 6000/600 weapons/combat xp per kill you will need to kill 34,000 crittersto fill your FS template

Now considering that you need to get 36,460,000 Jedi xp to complete a double mastery jedi temp at about 1k per kill, that equates to..

34,000 critters to get paddy
36,460 critters to get to ful template

I gotta say, if anyone starts out afresh and grinds all that they deserve a huge pat on the back

You're talking to Jedi... we've all been down that road. Besides, you fail to equate BH attacks.

Yeah I was talking in total from new paddy - full temp (without BH deaths).

My main comment was that the combat xp conversion nerf has made the FS grind almost equivalent to that of ours now. I couldnt imagine doing something like our grind then having to do it all over again!

Be careful... remember when Tiggs and Thunderheart acknowledged the pearl drop problem with premium / flawless? Look what came out of that one. *Can't fix it.. so you screw you guys

And even because of your numbers, People I know made the FS grind from start to end in about one week, under the double XP week. Thats something to think of too..

1 CL 81 in a group of 8 under the double XP week: 20.000 or so
1 CL 81 in a group of 8 under a normal day: 10.000 xp or so

Lets say 50.000 critters for a complete set of FS branches (6 branches). If you can kill 1000 critters a day, its 50 days. Almost 2 months. And that is with 1000 critters a day. I calculated with like 25 critters per lair earlier thats about 40 lairs, or with a full group of players 2.5 times shuttling to the mission terminal to get new missions.

Ok, I just came back into the game after taking a year off. Right before I left I unlocked my jedi and I figured I would come back and do a bit o grinding with him. My question is about XP...I have grouped several times with different level people and keep finding the same thing. When a creature dies it says above their head 4k to 5k of xp, plus what ever % bonus for being grouped underneath...however my actual xp gain is MUCH less.....is force xp still like combat xp pre-cu?

Thanks

The XP that flies above the mobs head is not what Jedi recieve wether grouped or solo. Basically the only way to determine your Jedi XP is by figuring it out by looking at your XP numbers in your character stats.

amount shown above critter: Regular weapons xp.
Jedi xp = Regular weapons xp divided by 6.
Combat xp = Regular weapons xp divided by 10.

What he said...

The new XP display is 100% incorrect and downright confusing. I have no idea why they changed it, but it was a completely stupid thing to do on the developers part.

The sad part is this game continues to get more and more complicated to deal with but the results stay exactly the same. Stuff like this is one of the big reasons why SW:G continues to get such poor reviews.
