i miss the old times also.. we all needed each others skills! now everythings in the millions and not even made by a crafter..
you know the sad thing is that it was so close to being a great game pre cu just some tweaks here and there nothing much. lower buffs a bit mabey to 1/4 of what they where at give every combat prof more diverse pool attacks and the game woulda have been ground breaking now its lost it star wars feel and feels like a buffalo hunt! ![]()

Im sorry you feel like this, but honestly a few things are to be expeced:
-a jedi that is not good for much more then a screenshot
Jedi are now so many that if we where outdamaging the non-jedi too much, it would be too unfair against other non-jedi professions. If we are stronger we would be able not only to beat BHs with much greater ease, but we would be able to solo things in game, which never where supposed to be Solo. Also PvP/GCW would bring huge unfairness to SWG, since the non-jedi would die way faster. And with so many jedi around, this is not a good situation. Jedi are still very good imho. and I love to play it still
-deserted cities and medical centers
Doctors got hit pretty bad. I agree. But I believe that the removal of buffs where needed. It removes a artifical stimuli that where needed to kill anything. And with the current BH terminal system, if the BHs got pre-cu buffs, while jedi dont we would always loose. It did also "ruin" the GCW a little, since when the enemies attacked a player city, and its players where not buffed, they just had to stand and watch the enemy wipe their forts. Now, they can be battle ready just as soon they go overt, and they will be able to take on a attacker, with a chance to win. Deserted cities are a part of the removal of buffs. Sad - yes. But I think it was neccesary.
-afk entertainers
Entertainers go often AFK for many reasons: they grind often ALONE! Theres noone around to chat wih and have fun with. There are no players in the cantina to entertain and as such it spretty empty. the Entertainers need to grind in a cantina. Its the only place to earn XP! And as such they just go AFK. Entertaining is fun! I got a entertainer character now too! But whats the point of entertaining a empty cantina? Many go AFK for a while. It takes AGES to get master mucian or dancer. Besides, not all go AFK. Sad, yes. But nothing that really destroys the game that players go AFK. I would say that the entertainers are hit WORSE then any other profession in this game today! All they have to offer is lousy 10% extra xp and 10% extra chance for susccess on crafting! Which, it seems to me, people are not all that interested in! So please dont hit the entertainers. they got more then enough problems, without we creating more for them!
-useless crafters
Will not say its useless, but too many are using looted items, which btw. crafters have no influence in. Chef is a win profession. Smugglers deals in drugs which is popular. Armoursmith are doing fine, and so do Weaponsmith. Arcitects got a few problems and Tailor is almost a laughable profession. It needs some love. Definitely. But to go as far as say useless, I cant say I agree on.
-trying to remember the good times that are long past
It is never good to be living in the past. The future must go on, and the CU is not that bad, and lot of things it brough are pretty neat. It still need working on tho.
-my first love (TKA) a broken wreckage that i can't bring myself to become
Melee are generally nerfed. Before the CU TKM, Swordsman and Fencer where the best and common professions. After CU it have become more "star wars" in the way its now ranged weapons that are generally being used. I loved swordsman. My favorite weapon where the schyte blade. They where quite attractive and had a high price. Now, after the CU, the price have falled dramatically, because people are not going swordsman anymore. Well, not as many as used to anyway. Its sad, but such things happend. What is best one day, is not neccesary the best the day after. It does not say its a useless profession. It just say that people prefer a different profession.
-a total lack of interest in a game that is supposed to "immerse" me in Star Wars which i love.
What to say. I still love the game. There are things I dont like in it, as there are things I love in it. Its a world with flaws as much as perfection. Just like the real world. My greatest problem is friends leaving, because they have been playing for years, and now decided to move to a new game or dont have time anymore to play it. Some got family. Some hate the CU. Some got work or more busy at school. Some got bored. So many different reasons for leaving, but loosing friends is the worst change for me in this game.
I play this game as a social part. I like to interact with friends and other people. My jedi is just the object I interact thru. I find the game fun, but ofcource after more then a year in the game, "nothing" is new for me. Its like a old shoe. It fits me perfectly, like its tailormade. but with time, there comes damage to it, and if SOE dont bring in more things to do it can get dull.
I think I will still play this game for years yet.
/agree 100%
the glass is half full there may be badin the game but theres tons of good in it too and tahts why i keep playing

buffs were never a problem , if you ever fought jedi with no armor on you would see why. 70-90% comp armor and certain proffs not having ap3 weapons while other did where a problem . non jedi on non jedi in full suits of armor was the problem . not so much buffs.
they took the emphasis off doc buffs and put it on chef foods and spices. id rather wait in line personaly ,over spending crazy amounts of credits for crates of food and spice, that in most cases is overpriced crap.
