Eventually, subscriber numbers to SWG are going to be so low that they close the last server(s). So everything you've done, all the professions, loot, stuffyou gathered have just been a waste of time in realityyou paid 15 bucks a month for.

I've got the Heavy-X. Been using it exclusively since I got it at a pristine2k condition. I don't mind if it decays so I push it to and over the edge. As a result, it still is its pristine 2k condition with several 1000's ship silhouettes painted on the fuselage.


It can't ever decay below 10 so it will always be usable. Though when the fuselage is at 10 any error you make with shields and armor gone is fatal.


More likely, long before it has decayed that much you've tired of it or SOE added other ships you prefer.

Firstly, the missions to get the ship are very easy providing you have at least one tier 4 pilot skill (it is still achieveable at lower tiers but is a bit harder).


Secondly, I didn't use mine until I mastered pilot so now if I take any damage to the chassis I can take a quick trip to deep space and get it repaired decay and cost free.

Ummm no Chassis period decays to unuseablilty. Don't make it out to be some special property of Quest ships.


Also, to the OP- The adv X has a quest to get one of your own, but it is different than the JSF or ARC 170. Last I knew, you did NOT need to do the quest to use one. The flipside of this is that you do not need to worry about losing the ability to use an Adv X if your's decays past the point you're comfy using it. I'm sure a small amount of diligent shopping and you can find one for sale.


PS- just my opinion, but never should you fear to use something because of decay. Use it, enjoy it, but use it carefully and it will last a good long time and be a lot more fun for you than it will collecting virtual dust on your virtual table in your virtual house. In other words, none of it is real, so have fun with it.

1) The quest to get it wasn't hard.


2) Don't use the Advanced X-wing until you are a master, and always jump to Deep Space before calling it a night and you won't have to worry about chassis decay.

Has the option of not getting blown up occured to you? Unless you go into PvP often, not getting blown up is a very attainable way of keeping your chassis healthy.
