NO.

It's not what Yoda thought.

It's a FUNDEMENTAL ASSUMPTION OF THE ENTIRE STORYLINE that that there were only two JEDI. Untrained force sensitives, Okay. Sure. They had to exist. But they ain't no jedi.

Sure only 2 true Jedi, yeah I'll buy that, but what most people on these boards fail to realize is that the "Jedi" in this game are not true Jedi, they are only Jedi trained and minorly at that. The Devs choice in titles is problematic, but we won't go into thier shortcomings. I tend to think and yes ASSUME that the "Jedi" players are not true Jedi. It makes acceptance easier, and it's just like the professions I listed as fabricated, they are based on logical assumtions, but assumtions none the less, so if we can take a leap of logic for those professions I think we can do the same for Jedi.

I think it is a good compromise to the argument that players who play Jedi are not true Jedi, it's alot better then half baked ideas and cries for permadeath and what not. Get the labeling right then worry about the next step.

Whats with all the dark red print?

Anyways, I don't participate in PvP due to the how the jedi/bounty hunter relationship and overpowering relates to the rest of the game. The developers should have known better as to add in "god" classes in an MMORPG, flat out. Whether its in the movies, EU, whatever. Complete breaking of PvP and the GCW-total breaking. Its just not fun to be forced to wield a glow-stick or LLC in order to have any chance at all in solo PvP.

So throw sticks and stones at each other about what was in the films or not.... Nobody cares. Its fiction and I will percieve that fiction however I want. What I do care about is this game, and how broken it is because of such unbalanced systems.

There is no god class in SWG, A Jedi is a mutli-profession just like a melee stacker, and only the FRS Knights can take a melee stacker, so if anything Melee stacking is the god class. Having Jedi in is not the problem, giving BHs free PvP content is and always has been the problem. They take no effort to get it, all it need is BH 3000 to hunt Jedi, they have no penalty either. Forced PvP is the problem, if Jedi were under the same provisons as the other professions, 90% of the complaints would not be here.

- jedi should not be able to use force in space cause it would be a fair fight and we all know they cant win by skill thats why these people are jedi. its stupid easy to become jedi these daysbut not everyone wants to be that...get over it youdumba$$es. its more fun to hunt the skilless lamers of the groundgame.

- and yes i hate jedi since they destroyed the ground economy and pvp for non jedi. - i would have no problem when there would be 10.000jedi per server if they would be forced to hide and not group pvp and camp star ports and multispawn and lootfarm all POI's. / another point is nearly allcrafters surrendered and go for jedi now you know what i mean try to find a armorsmith these days... its all crap and SOE is rubbing hands for the money they will get through JTL....

boykot JTL till the groundgame get fixed !!!

I am working on jedi on the Lowca server, with that said, I believe that jedi should not be able to hide in space when they are being tracked by a bounty hunter.

Permadeath is unacceptable. It would be unfair to people with jedi characters. Alot of work goes into jedi and I don't believe that most jedi are as powerful as people believe they are.

This guy want's to hunt jedi in space but not allow jedi to use force in space, this is WRONG if they are huntable in space than they should be able to use force skills and gain force xp when they defeat a bounty hunter. Fair is Fair, if a bounty hunter comes to space to track them, than the jedi should be able to use force to defend them selves.

Jedi didn't destroy the ground economy. Take a trip outside Coronet or Theed, you will find thriving vendor towns. This is a mis-statement.

People won't boycott JTL and I've already pre-ordered 2 copies for both of my accounts.

For all of you not in Beta: when you get blasted out of space, you take considerable wounds and BF. As MBHs what we need to do is blast Jedi while they are in space (and cannot block shots), then find out where they are landing. Even the Knights will have a hard time fighting a MBH on the ground once he's take flight damage. A damaged Jedi landing on a planet spaceport will be easy pickings!

How again is it that Jedi hide in space? I don't get this. They dont have any powers, or XP gain, it is detached from the ground game, the only common thing is you are playing the same character. Space is not a hiding place stop saying this, it is just giving people further misconceptions, space is not a hiding place the BH hunt is suspended. BHs dont track in space, Jedi don't generate visability in space, get used to it, it is not an exploit or a hiding place.

ok an answer to all your questions:

-Jedi have no speical powers in space, as its twich based
-jedi cannot run from you to space if they are in combat with you, as you cannot launch into space if you are in combat.

that is all for now

just so you know there is NOTHING in place to stop Jedi from doing this sort of low down, but expected exploit. In fact there is no way to track Jedi in space at all. This issued I HOPE will be resolved in the NEAR future, but bet on that when the BH, Smuggler, Commando revamps come around, which should be about the time hell is frozen over. Still not a good time to be a BH, everyday I shift more and more to dropping the profession, slowly losing all patience with this game and the way it is set up. Hope the rumors of LucasArts taking over are true and they totally screw SOE.

Ok, you obviously don't understand. BHs cannot track Jedi in space, becuase the BH hunt the Devs have said is only in the ground game. Jedi do not gain Jedi XP, they don't lose Jedi XP. By going into space all they can do is work on Piloting XP, the Devs have said that the ground game is not in space. I don't understand how you think this is an exploit, BHs are to keep the Jedi working on XP and make it hard to finish thier template, if they are not gaining Jedi XP then mission accomplished. This is not an issue, the Devs intended to not allow Jedi force powers or the hunt, it is not an issue or exploit.

Drop the damn profession it is clear you are just a griefer, anyone with half a brain knows that this is a good thing, keeping the broken ground stuff from JTL is much better then including it.

I am starting to hope that the LA take over was true, that way when the game shuts down, which it will, I can luagh knowing that spoiled children like you whined your way into oblivion.

Space is not a cheat, exploit, or hiding area, the hunt doesn't make sense in space since the XP is different. stop thinking RL and think game mechanics.

Would it help if player could be other type of force users like nightsisters.

Also if yoda could not see palps for what he is then how could he see other jed or force users.

Also this game takes its content from the films and the eu and there are jedi in the eu.

Nit-picking point. It was Obi-wan who chased Jango through space.

Let me explain this to you. Jedi uses force powers in front of people for 30 mins. Generates tons of visibility. Jedi gets on the terminals. (with me so far?)

Now, jedi has a bounty hunter mission on his head. Jedi goes into space. There is nothing the Bounty Hunter can do about this. Now the jedi is still online, but the bounty hunter has no way totrack him. This is the issue.

Do you want jedi to have powers in space, because that is what will happen if bounty hunters are alowed to hunt jedi in space.
