Actually, I know the A-Wing is in the proper time-line with us here. As for the B-Wing, I have heard some people say it's a post-Hoth ship, and others say it's a pre-Hoth ship. Not sure which it's supposed to be. The K-Wing I know was post Endor, in fact, post by like 12 years.

No - I mean the Assault Gunboat that was Imperial and what you've clarified as the XG-1. I'm pretty sure others would too... in TIE Fighter that thing was brutal. Then again I also voted for the Missile Boat too.

Yes.
The link that I provided for you is the XG-1 Star Wing, an Imperial only craft and the true Assault Gunboat. The other ships that people are referring to as Assault Gunboats are more like Assault Shuttles/Transports. For instance, the Imperial "Assault Gunboat" that we currently have in game... take a look:

I'm afraid that I haven't got much info onhand, but I'd like to see:
Assault Gunboats- Imperial only.
Assault Missileboar- Imperial again. High level thing.
Marauder Corvette- Relatively small capship (~100m long, IIRC); used mostly by planetary fleets, a picket ships, and by the odd private group.
Skipray Blastboat- *NOT* only for Imps. Too old to still see common active duty in Navy?
Carrack cruisers- Again, faction neutral here.
Dreadnaughts- Not really necessary, but fill a bit of a gap. Another really high level ship.
YT-2400- If I had my way, they'd replace the YT-1300 entirely.
Random freighters. They're all over the place... X-Wing and TIE Fighter were full of various cargo ships of unknown make and model (while they're classes are actually known, I'm thinking about ships like Flurry and the Wild Karrde or Uwanna Buyer. Nothing special, but still a platform to work from. Yeah, I'm getting too vague.

Found it! Sort of.... There's actually 2 possibilities here. There's this one:
Beta-class Assault Shuttle
http://frankg.dgne.com/swsv/telgorn/#beta
Which the website calls a shuttle but XWA calls a transport, and then there's this one:
Gamma-class Assault Shuttle
http://frankg.dgne.com/swsv/telgorn/#gamma
Which both the website and XWA agree on is a shuttle.
Take your pick.

People, for those of you suggesting Rebel/Neutral "Assault Gunboats", please provide a link to the one that your talking about. The only true class of Assault Gunboat that some of us are aware of is the Imperial Star Wing.

And maybe if they put in the assault gunboat (for IMPERIALS ONLY), the Missile Boat (ALSO IMPERIALS ONLY) and the TIE Defender... I'd really consider swapping sides. I used to love my Missile Boat, wasn't it the one that had the super booster jet that made you go silly fast?
