to pick up Novice Armormsith, you need to have completed the Engineer skill tree and have, i believe, approx. 15k general crafting xp for the Novice Armorsmith box. Get lots of mineral/metal (aluminium, copper, steel) and chemical (fiberplast and inert petro i believe) and you should be able to grind through Engineer. As for money, well, depends on if you are buying your resources or dropping harvesters to get your own. Buying your resources, buy crap resources
to grind with unless you plan on selling your wares, then try getting the better stuff.Resources can be expensive, so dropping some personal harvestors would save money in the long run.

hope this helps

My third holocron told me to become a master tailor. This was a great disapointment to me.I am aMaster Commando, and i was a Master Heavy Swordsman before that. I do not care much for crafting. I would much rather be out there burning and pillaging. Unfortunately such is life, and if the holocron tells me to be a master tailor before i can proceed on the pass to enlightenment, then a Master Tailor I will be. So here are my questions to the experienced tailor community:

1) What is the fastest way to grind through tailor and get it over with? (i.e. what stuff should i make to get the most xp in the least amount of time, with the least resources waisted)

2) Do I need to get a personal Crafting station, or is having crafting tools enough?

3a.) Is it better to buy he resources or to try and harvest my own?

b.) If its better to harvest my own, which harvesters are the most cost efficient?

4a) Will buying a factory and using it to make stuff give me xp?

b) If the answer to part (a) is yes how much xp? is it worth the money and material?

Speed and inexpensiveness are important.

Thank you.

1:Read the stickied FAQ for resource reqs.

2: You will need 8 clothing and armor tools for macroing - no station required

3: Depends on how much money you have. I harvested all mine, using mediums.

4: Dont think so.

It takes about 5 hours of macro grinding to Master

It may be a bit lonely these days.

Try Anchorhead on Tat.

One thing I did also, was get a Non-CH pet given to you , by a CH and use that to attack spawns to get CH XP.

Mav,

My first suggestion is, get to know www.swgcreatures.com . You can search for tameable creatures of verying levels and general locations of where to find them.

You can control a level 23 pet. Check your skill tree. The level of pet that you can control is based on your Max Level of Pet. You get max level 12 for being novice CH. Tiers I & II each give +2, tier III gives you +3, and tier IV gives you +5.

So at 0,0,4,0you have: 12 (as novice) + 2 + 2 + 3 + 4 = level 23

You'll have a tough time finding a level 23 pet that's a "tank", so you'll definitely need to go with a BE pet. Shop around, see what you can find.
